A movie on artificial intelligence is a good concept if executed well. This movie, with the exception of D. Gleason, is not well done. Tiresome and dragging. Not recommended.
A 1962 western with a somewhat novel plot starring John Wayne, James Stewart, Vera Miles and Lee Marvin. Well acted by all and worth seeing but not a real eye opener.
A very well paced and highly professional flick. Good performances by all but exemplary jobs by particularly Benicio Del Toro and very fine work by Josh Brolin. This movie is highly recommended.
This is a pairing of 2 hilarious actors. The late John Candy does every comedy quite competently as well as some serious stuff and Ackroyd plays the insensitive boob to perfection. The theme is a good one. Only shortcoming would be the cave sequence which is a bit overdone.
One of Clint Eastwood's better police action flicks. As a sheriff out of Arizona he takes on NYC problems and personnel quite effectively and sometimes humorously.
The idea of 4 lunatics turned loose on NYC is a theme with possibilities. This movie, anchored by the professionalism of Michael Keaton, Christopher Lloyd and the late Peter Boyle, works. I recommend seeing this 1989 flick.
The latest in the continuing and now extensive Jesse Stone series with Tom Selleck. They never fail to impress. Clever dialogue, excellent cinematography, and solid performances by the lead and all supporting roles.
Lots of action for Statham fans with a setting in Las Vegas. Statham is a professional in his acting and his movies appeal to the action fans and this is another credible example therof.
First of all, having read the book, I would assert that to make a movie based on the book had to be a difficult task. The real story has enough complexity to render a film, within reasonable time limits, virtually impossible to reasonably precise accuracy. I would call this movie "Unbroken Lite". Nonetheless worth watching.
This is, in my opinion, a very average movie about a journalist's purported expose of a purportedly sinister plot both involving the Contra Costas and some nefarious attempt on the part of the CIA to expose the black LA population to Crack Cocaine. The story is dubious and the cinematic depiction thereof is pedestrian.
