Part biography, part heist flick and a love letter to the twin towers. At times, looking at the old New York skyline brings happiness and sadness at the same time. They did a marvelous job digitally recreating them. For lovers of 3D, this makes very good use of it throughout the whole film, but especially effective for "the walk" itself. Good for the whole family.

Fun little flick which is a zombie horror comedy. This genre has been stretched out a little thin over the past few years, but I happened to really like this one. The boyscout angle, the friendship between the three leads, and the suburban setting gives the movie it's charm. There's a few raunchy gags with some of the zombies as well. The picture and audio are very good but not quite demo material. There are some fun and insightful behind the scenes supplements. I would wait for this one to drop to about the 14.99 range for most potential buyers.

A steal for 17.99! My favorite feature was Tiny Giants. It had the best use of 3D and played out like a documentary with a lot of cinemaric flourish. Wings was very good, but at times the 3d was a bit dizzying, something that pretty much never happens to me. Planet Dinosaur was probably my least favorite, but wasn't terrible. The kids might like it.

Some will argue these already bloated movies don't need more filler, but I always enjoy the added scenes. This "prequel trilogy" is definitely not as good as 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy, but there is definitely fun to be had here. There's an extended chariot scene on a frozen river with the wargs and the mountain goats that gets kind of gory, with the wargs getting splattered by the chariots, but I still think for it to get an R rating there could of been more blood, at least the big battle with Thorin and Azog could've been a bit more visceral. The picture quality, 3d quality, and sound quality is on par with the theatrical bluray, which are all excellent. There's hours of bonus features, which I myself have not gone through.
The biggest problem with this set his the very high asking price of 45 dollars. That's a lot of coin for a movie release, so I can't wholeheartedly recommend that people run out and buy it. I bought mine on the first week when it was on sale for about 35 dollars, which was a little steep, but so far, that's the cheapest I've seen it.
If the rating would allow it. I would give it 3.5 stars
I will mark it as a recommend, but at a better price point.

Aladdin finally makes its bluray debut here in the states and was well worth the wait. I always thought the DVD looked amazing but this version blows it out of the water with even brighter and more vivid colors and crisp detailed lines. A very immersive 7.1 dts master audio track goes perfectly with the beautiful picture. There are plenty of bonus features but I haven't gone through them yet. A great movie made even greater with a stellar AV presentation.

I missed out on Twilight Time's limited edition for this bluray a few years back, so I'm very happy that Sony decided to release it themselves at a very affordable price. The movie itself is one of Carpenter's better efforts. It has a fantastic ominous score which sounds great in 5.1. The picture quality is amazing. Christine never looked so shiny and red. Very clean, detailed and filmic. All the bonus features from the special edition DVD are also featured on this release plus a uv digital copy. This is an easy recommend. I wish all catalogue titles received this treatment.

Excellent movie. Part horror, drama, romance. Filmed with old fashioned camera tricks. This is one of the best embodiments of Dracula. Gary Oldman is amazing. The new 4k master easily outclasses the previous bluray in every way. I can't say how the new Atmos track sounds, as I am not equipped for that, but the 7.1 track is excellent and atmospheric. This is the definitive version of Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Is this unit capable of running Atmos?
Yes, this unit can run Atmos and DTS:X, which are both object based surround formats that add height information to the traditional surround format.
