I remember once describing the movie, Silver Linings Playbook, to a prospective movie goer as "When Harry Met Sally, with Prozac." The soundtrack CD was as varied and manic as the two principle characters in the film. There were many recording artists that I am very familiar with, like Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, and Dave Brubeck. One of the reasons I bought the CD in the first place was that one of the Brubeck songs, Unsquare Dance, was a song that I once heard performed as a drum solo by a Drum and Bugle Corps from Boston, MA. If you are an individual who has a varied and eclectic taste for musical styles, then I would recommend purchasing this particular movie soundtrack CD.
What's great about it: There are a number of songs that I am familiar with.
What's not so great: Not all of the songs were in the movie.
