Good, not great sound cancellation

I got these on sale to use as sound cancelling headphones; I have 10 year old Bose that are starting to fall apart and these were on sale so I thought I'd try them. They are a little tricky to turn on; there's a button you have to hold down for a few seconds. I would prefer a simple on/off switch. And the sound cancelling isn't as good as the Bose. I use them mostly when I mow my yard, so the music quality isn't going to be great anyway, so I can't review that feature.

Works differently from previous versions

I bought this and gave my old one to my mother, who is in her 80s. She can easily use the older version, but I don't think she would understand the backwards logic of setting a destination, which is not very intuitive if you have to change cities. It does have some additional features, but I wish it was easier to set a specific route without setting a via point. The lifetime updates are a plus, but I think all GPS systems are providing this now.
