I replaced my old Sony blueray player with this. Set up was easy but had to buy the newer hi speed cables. The new 4K format is excellent but honestly it isn't that much better than bluray. Maybe my 55 inch tv doesn't give enough detail as i have read the large screens give more detail etc. If i had a say i would prefer more apps like my old bluray player like youtube but i can only assume those apps will come later and are pending but as of 4-30-17 i do not have much. All in all Sony has delivered an excellent product to view true 4K content.

nice sound for little money

I replaced an older JBL subwoofer with this yamaha. The JBL was big and shook the picture frames on the wall, way too much for my family room. The 8 inch yamaha is just right for most living rooms. The description says silver but it is black as in the picture. It has a volume control so when my wife says she gets headaches you can turn it down etc. It also comes with a connector cable to the receiver.

Loved the power of this high end processor. But HP has a design flaw with this unit. It vents from the bottom instead of from the side. AMD chips tend to run hotter anyway but having the heat blow in my lap is just a bad idea. I returned it for a side venting model.

Does an old video game console that uses VGA look good on this monitor? For example, let's say the Sega Dreamcast with VGA connected to this monitor.
It will look as good as any other. The difference is the technology, analog vers digital. This monitor has a very sharp detailed picture. The glass does reflect a little bit of light but not too bad. The pixilization is worse on a larger screen size however the 23 inch size should minimize this.
