How does this actually work. I have a newer model computer. But don't you still have to have a Ethernet cable to connect to the adapter and wall or you just connect the adapter to the computer and it should work
you still have to have a Ethernet cable that is connected from your router or cable modem. Almost all come with ethernet ports from your internet provider. You need a ethernet cable for the length, then you need plug the cable into the modem or router that you have and into the adapter which is connected to your comper. Leave your wifi on so the driver can be found, you may have reboot, but if you see the internet is connected then you just need to turn off your wifi and make sure it works.

Is this a good appliance for old people?
This will be a gift to an elderly couple - we need nothing fancy. Knobs not LED's, easy to see, easy to operate. They won't be cooking major meals in it. We like the auto shut off feature, for safety. Any cons? Specifically the Oster 6 slice toaster oven TSSTTVF816.
