This GE microwave was purchased to replace another GE microwave that had been previously installed in the house we purchased in 2007. We use our microwave multiple times daily. We're not sure why the other one died, however we were pleased with the longevity of the previous model so we decided to purchase the updated version! The black on black looks sharp. (The previous version we had was stainless steel but we like the black better.) More importantly, it is easy for kids, teens and adults to use. We use some of the one-touch features (e.g. popcorn) but mainly use the cook time manual entry option.
