As a photographer, it's always a good idea to have some gels in your kit. They come in handy to fix problems. If you carry a few extra lights with you, you can create colors in the background, accent a dress, create a mood, or correct a wacked-out color temperature (to an extent, anyway). Recommended.

I love the versatility of this 64 LED light. It is quite useful and I have three 64's in my bag for kickers and bar light. But this one is pricey and does not have the cold shoes on each side like others -- so you can't combine them. Therefore, it loses a star. Better versions are out there. But it's a useful light.

Well designed tripod overshadows its problems

This is a well-designed tripod. It folds to a compact package and is relatively light. The ball head is fluid and it feels nice, although, a bit tough to master.
I did write the company to see if there were other head options for the unit, but received no reply. As pricey as this is for a travel tripod, I would have thought they could follow-up. Not enough to knock off a star, however. I think there are other options that are just as good.

Certainly, this isn't the top of the line glass, but it is a good lens that gets the job done. I've shot some extraordinary shots with it. It can surprise. You can afford to break it too and buy another. I shoot around water and sand a lot, so I weigh my investments in lenses. This one is quite good although AF is a wee loud.

I like this stand for unusual camera mounts, such as 4x4 rail-tops, trees and the like. But as a table-top stand, I like a small tripod instead. It just takes too much time to configure the legs to support a pro-sized camera with a good-sized lens without drifting or tilting over. The ball head is a must-have on this item.
It does have a place in my bag, so I guess that means it's worthwhile.
