No, you need a cable modem not a vdsl

What is denial of service protection?
A denial of service attack is when a hacker locates your IP address and then causes you Internet to go down. This modem protects against ddos attacks

Does this work with Centurylink?
Yes just call centurylink and tell them you need the isp password which you need to enter during initial set up
