Perfect for my needs and easy setup

I recently had my data backup external hard drive die. This replacement has 2 drives that use RAID to mirror one to the other, so even if one of the drives dies, I won't lose my data like before. It is simple to setup and has been working great for several weeks. A very reasonable, redundant, data backup for all the devices in your network.

This network attached drive was very easy to set up and use. I ended up swapping it for another model that adds a RAID mirror function for backup. This one worked great, so I chose the WD model with the RAID function as well.

I have a dead external hard drive and this looked like the perfect device to recover the data from that drive. This guy is easy to use and set up and would have been perfect for me, except the drive itself and not just the connecting housing turned out to be dead, so I never was able to recover my data. This docking station worked great with other drives.

Specifications states: Number Of Drives Included: 1. Is this accurate? Hard Drive Type: SSD. Is this accurate? Someone previously asked about the # of drives, responses varied from 1 to 2 drives and WD Red Drives, which are not SSD.
Unit comes with 2 WD Red drives of 2TB capacity each, NOT SSD drives.

Does this model use 2 WD Red drives?

What happens if one of the drives fails? Does WD sell drives that can be purchased and swapped out with the failed drive? Does the software notice the new drive and continue working seamlessly? Any other things to consider?
The software does notice if one of the two drives fails and indicates it to you with a light on the front of the unit. Each of the two drives is very easily swapped out with a replacement and the unit will detect the new drive and ask if you want to mirror your remaining drive data onto the new drive. If one of the drives is dead, the second will continue to work, but without the extra layer of backup protection offered by the RAID mirror feature.
