Amazingly Convenient, Flexible Security System

The setup for these cameras is wildly easy since the cameras are rechargeable. This means that you don't have to worry about any wiring, you just have to charge them up when necessary. This flexibility alone gives Netgear's Arlo Pro security cameras a huge advantage over most any other security setup out there.
The video produced by the cameras is clear, and you have several options for saving the video. You get free cloud-based storage with the purchase of the unit, and can also save video locally on a USB drive.
The night vision video was surprisingly clear for 20-30 feet, which outperforms some other security cameras I have worked with.
The system also features a 100+ decibel siren, which can be activated remotely, or be set to go off when sound or motion is detected. Needless to say, the siren is loud and effective.
My favorite feature of the cameras is their 2-way audio capabilities. I am now using one of these cameras to monitor my front door to keep an eye out for packages, etc., but now, when a solicitor comes, I can see them on the camera, ask what they are selling, and dismiss them if I am not interested. This is a huge convenience, especially if I am in my workshop in the back yard.
The downsides to these cameras were minimal. First, the motion activated video seems to take about a second to start up. Also, the cameras only record at 720p, however, this is part of why the rechargeable batteries last so long, and 720p video should be more than adequate for any security setup.

Amazing Wi-Fi Coverage and a Quick Setup

Let me start by saying that the Velop nodes, as well as their packaging, are beautiful. Opening the box was an experience in and of itself. These were made for unboxing videos. Each individual node is simple yet elegant, and fits into any room's decor.
The Velop 3-pack comes with 3 nodes, allowing complete Wi-Fi coverage on up to 6000 square feet. This translates to most homes, as well as the front and back yard. The setup is quick and easy, assuming you have a smart phone. There is no way to complete the setup using your computer, as the setup relies on using the Linksys Mobile app for Android or IOS. Assuming you have a smart phone, the setup was seamless and only took about 10 minutes.
The app also lets you quickly prioritize devices, create a guest network, check your network's performance, receive notifications if your network is down for any reason, and shut the entire network down if you need to do so.
The coverage and speeds I am getting from the Velop nodes is amazing. Areas in my home that never had coverage now have amazing speeds and I no longer have and Wi-Fi dead spots.
The only downside to the Velop Wi-Fi mesh system I have found is that if you rely on many devices that must be hard-wired to your network using Ethernet cables, you will probably need to purchase a networking switch to accommodate the hard-wired devices, as each node only has 2 Ethernet ports, and the node that is connected to your modem will only have one open port.

I have enjoyed other Ninja Coffeemakers, but they tend to make a single cup at a time. The Ninja Coffee Bar 10-Cup Coffeemaker, as the name implies, makes up to 10 cups of coffee at a time. This is perfect, as I drink about 2 pots of coffee per day.
The water reservoir and the coffee scoop ensure you get a consistent coffee experience by regulating the amount of coffee grinds and water used in each cup. Combine this with Ninja's Thermal Flavor Extraction methods and pre-infusion, and you've got excellent coffee, every time.

The Philips Norelco Multigroom 7400 has proven to be an amazing piece of grooming equipment. As someone who has a large beard and shaves his head with hair clippers, this is an all-in-one appliance for me.
As I said, I have a large beard. When trimming it, in the past, battery operated trimmers have tended to get tangled in my beard and end up yanking the hairs, which can be incredibly painful. With the Multigroom 7400, this is not an issue. I was able to shave my head and trim about 3 inches off of my beard, and still had plenty of charge left to use the ear and nose trimmer included.
The versatility of the Multigroom 7400 comes from its many attachments. The attachments allow you to do primary trimming, precision trimming, nose and ear trimming, hair trimming, and even body trimming. This makes the Multigroom 7400 perfect for anyone with a lot of hair (e.g. a beard), as well as anyone with specific needs, like lines or a strong fade.

Adobe Photoshop Elements has less features than the Adobe Photoshop Pro version,but for your average user, will have everything you need without bogging you down with complicated features only professionals tend to need. It features a full spectrum of photo editing, including photo organization, quick fixes, color correction and removal, and more.
It can also create text from your photos, allows you to substitute new backgrounds for your photos, can add motion blur, and can even turn a frown upside down (literally). The filters also allow a lot of photo manipulation, allowing you to make photos look like drawings, give them a cartoonish look, or even make them black-and-white.
It also has a lot of fun features, such as custom frames for your photos, custom Facebook banners, and collages made with not just photos, but effects as well. You can also create gifts, such as photo books and custom calendars.
This is an excellent package for anyone who wants to get into photo editing, and will do many of the features automatically if you want to take the guess-work out of the job. The batch editing feature lets you get a lot of editing done quickly, so you can spend more time creating more memories and less time editing them.

A Great Package for Photo and Video Editing

Installation was a snap for both programs, especially if you already have an Adobe ID. If you don't, creating one is a snap.
Adobe Premiere Elements allows you a full range of video editing options, more than suitable for your average home movie editing, all the way to a successful Youtuber. It features several modes, including an automatic movie maker, a guided mode, and an expert mode.
The expert mode does have a learning curve, and can take com time to get used to, but for simpler edits, this will do. If you are looking for complex motion tracking and/or complex greenscreening, also known as chromakey, then you'll probably want to spring for the pro edition of Adobe Premier, vs. the Elements version.

Google Home - An Excellent Assistant

Google home is a high-powered speaker combined the Google Assistant. Google Assistant is a voice-activated digital assistant that can help you with a Plethora of activities and information.
The Google Assistant can do everything from answer complex math questions, cast YouTube videos onto any device connected to Chromecast, control the music (and the volume), as well as set and execute alarms so you won't lose track of time.
The ability to cast videos hand-free means that you can get help with everything from cooking recipes to computer troubleshooting without having to leave your work space or your project.
Google Home works best for areas where you will have need for hands-free control, such as a kitchen or other work area. Mine is setup in my workshop, so that I can get information and control my music while I am working on home improvement and woodworking projects. I was amazed at how well it could recognize my requests for information, even in loud environments while I was running various power tools.
Google Home can also control any home automation products you might have like a Nest Internet controlled home thermostat, power sockets, garage doors, home locks, and more.
A few fun things to ask the Google Assistant are: "OK Google, Tell me a Joke," "OK Google, sing me a song," and "OK Google, what am I thinking right now?" I won't ruin the fun, but be sure to try these questions on your Google Assistant.

An Excellent, Affordable Monitor

The HP 23es Monitor serves all of my needs. It came with an HDMI cable, so setup was quick and easy. All it required was plugging in the power supply, then connecting the HDMI cable and it was up and working.
The 7ms response time allowed for pleasant viewing experience for both panning wide shots and action packed scenes. I did not experience any level of noticeable blurring or ghosting.
The 178 degree viewing angle combined with the pivoting base ensures that you experience comfortable viewing regardless of your setup. For this reason, this monitor is especially good for stand-up desks.
I found the brightness of the monitor to be more than adequate. The 1920 x 1080 resolution won't display 4K videos at full resolution, but did provide crisp images and text.

An Open Source Router that Supports Mu-MIMO

Setup was quick and easy. It took me almost as long to screw in the 4 antenna, find a suitable spot for the WRT 3200 ACM and power it on as it did to set it up. It is approximately 8" x 10". The size of the base, combined with 4 antennas means it is about 50% larger than your average router, so consider this regarding your space availability.
As for the range I was able to test, the WRT 3200 ACM had no issue going approximately 125 ft through a max of 2 interior walls. It also did a nice job covering my 1/4 acre backyard and supported as many devices as I could throw at it (3 phones, 4 computers, an Xbox One and an Xbox 360 all streaming HD YouTube videos simultaneously).
The Smart Wi-Fi app allows you to control your network, even when away from home. The most useful feature of is that you can share your Wi-Fi password with guests via email or text straight from the app.
If you have 4K TVs, the WRT 3200 ACM should easily handle multiple 4K streams, however, I did not have a means to test this.

There's a New King in Town

The Google Pixel is the latest hardware offering from Google. Having left the Nexus line behind, Google is moving forward with its Pixel line of phones. The Google Pixel sports a quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor, and 4GB of RAM. To the non-techie, this means these phones are not only snappy, but have an excellent battery life. Every task, even taking pictures, is a snap.
The OLED touchscreen has amazing colors and brightness, making this one of the sharpest phones ever. With accurate color representation on-screen, you're always getting a n accurate representation of the subject matter in an image.
The greatest impact the Pixel will have is on your Photos. No matter what level of phone user you are, it is a safe bet you use your phone to take pictures. The camera on the Pixel is outstanding. It is hard to take a bad picture, even in low-light. For Pixel owners, Google is giving you unlimited Google Drive storage for your photos, and with such a great 12 MP camera, you'll need it. It also shoots 4K video with the same great results.
Reception and call quality are excellent, and even the speaker phone works great. combined with an excellent WiFi antenna, the Pixel leaves nothing to be desired as far as connectivity goes.
The body of the phone is a combination of metal and glass, giving it a very unique sleek look and making it easily identifiable. There is a fingerprint scanner on the back, which is is conveniently placed for one-handed use, and it scans prints very reliably.
The other major selling point for the Google Pixel is that it is the first phone with Google Assistant built-in. Google Assistant is similar to Cortana, Siri, or Alexa, allows you to get help with all of your daily activities, including reminders, itinerary planning, hands-free operations, and more. As Google's AI systems become more complex, the Google Assistant will become more powerful, touting future advancements such as translating speech to specific dialects, not just specific languages, photo recognition, and more.
To date, the Pixel is the best phone I have ever used, and I've used just about every phone out there.

I’m confused. How/ where does it get ota channels? Is there an antenna that comes with it? Similar to the digital antenna I use now for local channels? Or does it get the local ota channels and stream to device via the internet?
It actually has a coaxial cable plug-in so that you can use any OTA antenna with it.You should be able to use the digital antenna you mentioned in your question. That said, you can get a new, Smart 4k TV for around $300-$450, so I would go that route unless you are on an extremely tight budget. 4k, plus Roku is a much better option in my opinion. If nothing else, Roku isn't going anywhere.

Yes, the HP Omen 25 supports Freesync. The HP Omen 27, on the other hand, supports G-Sync, an alternative to Freesync that requires NVIDIA GPUs to work.

does it support AT&T Digital life and its Nest devices and thermostats that are attached to the system ?
It supports Nest devices, but you would have to contact AT&T about future integration, but currently it isn't supported.

Does this support Sonos? iTunes?
No, not at this time. IT also doesn't support Amazon Music. It currently only supports Google Play Music, Spotify, Pandora, and YouTube Music.

Can this be used if the phone the main account is tied to is not at home? IE: Could my wife ask it to play music from Google Play if I'm not there? I'm not asking about family accounts but if this will remember my account if my phone isn't around?

Yes, you must make sure your door locks are compatible, but it does support this function.
