Does allot more than open/closed sensing

This is a true Multipurpose Sensor. The following can be monitored:
open/closed - Is a door/drawer/closet open or closed?
vibration - Detect door knocks or footsteps among other things.
orientation - I haven't found a use for orientation yet but nice to have.
angle (tilt) - Is your garage door open or closed?
temperature - When it get's too cold turn on the heat.

Reports energy consumption in SmartThings

It works well with Samsung SmartThings. The SmartThings app displays the real-time energy consumption in watts but lacks any reporting capabilities. No graphs or estimated cost of power etc are available in the SmartThings app. These failings don't have anything to do with the switch itself, the switch reports the energy usage in watts as advertised.
In short, this switch works with Samsung SmartThings and reports real-time energy consumption.
