This USB adapter is installed in my desktop PC with Windows 7 Pro.
It works well, through 5 or 6 walls, across a distance of about 40 feet. It picks up a signal strength of 4 out of 5 bars with that set-up.

This card reader/writer is compatible with multiple memory card formats for wide-ranging use and features a USB 3.0 interface for data transfer rates up to 500 Mbps.
cant get memory stick to transfer pics to comp what can i do
Check to make sure the tiny lock slider at the top left portion (viewed from the front) of the memory card is not DOWN in the lock position.
As long as that is up (unlocked) I have never had an issue. Also, check your connection on the card reader.
You may need a new card reader.

My PC doesn't have WPS. Can I still use this product?

You don't need WPS on your PC, but you need an available USB port.
