This microwave really looks good with stainless on all sides. It works well. The downsides are that it is only 950 watts - which makes it unique since most microwaves are 800, 1000 or 1200 watts. It also is a bit loud, but not so much to make it a problem. It also does not have the feature where it will periodically beep until you open the door after the cooking time has finished. Otherwise, it is a very nice oven.

Interior Light
Is there an interior light and does it come on every time the door opens, or only during cooking?
Yes, there is an interior light that turns on when the oven door is opened. It is a bit dim - so when it goes out I will see if a brighter bulb can be substituted.

No, it is a stand-alone counter-top microwave oven.
