This album is a snapshot of a generation. Gen X officially arrived on the map with the music of the early 90s becoming distinctly their own. This may be one of the best albums to represent that era. Bands like Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins were starting to find a wide audience. This album helped to define the "grunge" sound and shows alternative music at its peak of cutting edge anti-pop.

It is a decidedly different sound for them and this album will leave some fans wondering what might have been next for LP with Chester at the helm.
