The Bill and Ted movies are a time capsule of the late eighties era. The clothes, the attitude, and the humor. It takes me back to my high school days, and as such they earned a permanent spot on my movie collection shelf. Unfortunately, the previous dvd and blu-ray releases of the films were also a product of past times. They looked worn, washed out and all around not very good picture wise. Well, now this release has given these movies the tender loving care they have so needed. The eighties were a vibrant, color soaked era and these colors finally pop on screen. Detail is sharper, and the films are free of scratches and dust that plague older uncleaned films. There's also some nice new bonus content made just for this release. If you are a fan of these movies, and already own older versions...chunk them. This is THE set to own. If you're new to the movies, check out this double feature of eighties nostalgia that still entertains in 2016. To quote Bill and Ted, they're EXCELLENT!
I'm an eighties kid, and as such I grew up in the era of dark, dank video rental stores offering dodgy low budget movies. Back then the internet was not a smart phone search away, and it was kind of a fun thing to take a gamble on a movie based solely on the cover and description on the movie case. Chopping Mall was one video cover that always caught my eye on the shelf with it's cool clever art, but I never did get around to actually renting as I always opted for some cheesy sci-fi or fantasy movie instead. Besides, I thought it was a" Friday the 13th" type slasher movie from the name. Well here we are in 2016, and I finally decided to take the plunge after watching a trailer on YouTube and learning that this was actually a shlocky sci-fi killer robot type thing in the vein of Terminator or Saturn 9. Nice! I guess in a way it was a good thing I waited because I don't think the movie even looked this spectacular when it showed in the theater. It has been fully restored picture wise, no scratches, dust or other things associated with retro movies. The clarity is awesome, and the colors look nice with lots of eighties neon. There's also lots of bonus material made especially for this release. As for the movie itself, it's a fun, corny movie that's a product of it's era. If you like eighties low brow humor, teen violence and nudity then this fits that bill. I'm glad I waited to see this improved cut of the movie, even if it took decades to see.
Blu-ray re-issues. You hate them, I hate them. Commonly called "double-dips" by collectors because movie studios love to put out a bare bones version of a movie then re-issue a better collectors version down the line. In essence, they get you to buy the movie twice when you upgrade. I almost did that when I decided I wanted to buy An American Werewolf in London the Full Moon edition. But as luck would have it, I caught wind that a newer better version was just around the corner. Not having owned the older "Full Moon" version, I cannot speak to how good that version looks, but I can assure you that it probably doesn't look as good as this version. The movie has been fully restored, cleaned, and looks absolutely gorgeous on high definition televisions. The movie looks like it could have been filmed recently, it looks so good. There's also a good ton of behind the scenes bonus material such as interviews with the director and special effects guru Rick Baker. Do yourself a favor and pick-up this newer version if you're on the fence about upgrading from a previous version. It'll have you howling with joy.
This little Lego model of a Star Destroyer is a great intro to Lego building for a small child who is into Star Wars. Simple to put together but looks cool and fun to play with.
Relive all of the adventure from the movie with a fun Lego twist while playing Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens deluxe edition for PS4. Join Rey and Finn as they embark on an epic battle against Kylo Ren and the First Order, and create whole new scenes or reinvent old ones with Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Lego and light sabers, what's not to like? If you 're into Star wars, you will dig the hyper cute Lego aesthetic. The game mechanics have you"building" things from lego bricks you break from the surroundings or find lying around. Usually it's something you need to progress in the game. The story is broken up into action and puzzle like segments that have you doing varied things at any given point so that you don't become bored. Things do get a little repetitive because this game is huge with lots of missions, but more or less the same mix of game play. The game follows the events of the movie, but takes a humorous approach to each scene and expands on some story elements only mentioned in the movie. and when you beat the main game, you still have the hundreds of different Lego characters and ships to collect to keep you playing. This game will keep you busy for a long time.
This Sony BDPS6500 Blu-ray player features built-in Wi-Fi. To build a complete 3D home theater system, we recommend you purchase a 3D TV, 3D glasses designed for the TV, high-speed HDMI cable and an A/V receiver that is compatible with 3D products.
I own a 4k television but not a 4k player. Sounds silly, I know, but my old tv broke down and I just went ahead and future proofed by buying a 4k set. Although I've seen some stuff streamed on Netflix in 4K resolution, I felt like a wasn't getting the full experience. The thing is, 4k players and the blu-rays themselves are really expensive right now. So I looked at this sony player that up converts regular blurays to 4k -like resolution and I have to say I'm impressed. I now can see what my tv can do. Movies look gorgeous and very high definition. I recommend this player as a half step towards waiting till 4k player prices come down. It makes regular blurays look fantastic, and the unit is inexpensive so you don't feel like you wasted money when you replace it down the road. Also very tiny in size, plus comes loaded with popular Apps. A good value all around.
Listen to your music with these JVC Gumy HAF14B earbud headphones, which feature neodymium magnets for rich, clear sound. The gold-plated stereo mini pin enables simple connection to compatible devices, including Apple® iPhone®.
I'm no audio expert, but I've owned plenty of cheap priced earbuds. you always know a cheaply made earbud because the sound is flat. No high range or mids, just sounds low yet,not bassy. Just low and terrible. These earbuds by JVC surprisingly have a good, clear sound that has some texture. You can hear all three ranges: High, medium, and low. For earbuds, they sound very nice. It won't win any awards in the bass range, but it's a good, even sound. I like them, and I'm sure you will too as they are inexpensive as well.
I was on the fence about buying the deluxe version exclusive to Bestbuy as it's quite pricey for 4 additional songs. If you are wondering the same, this review is to help you. In a nutshell, not really worth it. Yes there's four extra tracks, but three are not new tracks but alternate versions. For evigt is the Danish version of The Bliss, Black Rose is a version without the guest vocalist that appears on the standard version, and there's a live version of The Devil's bleeding crown. The fourth track called Slaytan is a joke at like 40 seconds, It sounds like an intro to the album that was not used, as it has one sentence of lyric, and the rest is instrumental. Again, it's not a full song. In my opinion, not worth the extra $5 unless you're a completest fan. The review is rating the exclusive edition, If actual new songs were on the bonus disc, it would be a five star release.
If you're a longtime Blue October fan, you will find songs on this release that remind you of the old Blue October you know and love. However, the band has been slowly evolving from alternative rock to down tempo pop over the last few albums, and this is one of their more pop tinged albums to date with more electronic sounds. Some fans like me will like it, but not all fans. If you are more into the rock era Blue October, this might disappoint you. Everything else is still the same though, from the poignant lyrics, to the catchy hooks, but in a new wrapper so to speak. I recommend you preview the tracks online before committing to buying the whole album. Overall, it's still Blue October.
Cool off with this Insignia™ NS-F12R6-SS 12" retro table fan, which features 3 speed settings and an oscillating design for customized comfort that circulates air around the room. Removable fan guard makes cleaning the blades easy.
I saw this fan while walking down the aisle at Best Buy and had to have it. I have always loved the industrial retro look of metal appliances. I got it home, and have not regretted buying it. It looks fantastic, and boy does this thing blow air. On the lowest setting, it feels like medium on any other fan and still has two higher speeds! It is quiet, but not silent. It has a strong motor so it does hum a bit, but not annoyingly so. Overall, well made item and not just a gimmick like some retro products.

Do you have to put this fan together to assemble it.
