It's just too easy for the triggers to be ruined over time. It used to be that the analog sticks would get ruined too but those have been better in recent iterations. Now the triggers are the issue, unfortunately, but the controller still feels good.

If you're looking for differences between this and 17, it is very apparent that defending was changed somewhat. The momentum/pace of the attacking team almost always wins out, so you have to play extremely carefully in defense. Overall the game looks, feels, and functions better but the balancing changes are definitely something to get used to.
