My wife and I purchased the Anki Overdrive starter kit for our son's birthday and he and his brother love it. They wanted to get an additional car so they could both race their dad at the same time. While I have been using the iPad Pro 9.7 to prepare for FAA written exams, I purchased the iPad Mini 4 for use in the cockpit with the Garmin Pilot app. It's an excellent sized tablet for use while flying and also for reading kindle books too! As with the iPad Pro 9.7, one feature that I was surprised about and love is the fact I can reply to text messages and recieve phone calls on the iPad. Of course, not while flying.

iPad - Great tablet, definitely not a computer!

While I have given the iPad Pro 9.7" five stars and love the device as a tablet it is definitely not a computer, even with the Apple keyboard accessory (which I would also recommend). The iPad Pro 9.7 is an excellent tablet and if that's what you're looking for, especially if you're already a user of the iPhone, you'll love the device. If you're looking for a device that can replace your laptop then you'll likely be a little disappointed as the iPad can only run apps from the app store. I'm personally using the iPad to watch movies and read Kindle books while traveling. One surprising feature that I really like is that I receive text messages on the iPad and can even answer calls coming to my iPhone, when its not in reach. It might not replace my laptop computer but I'm finding myself using the iPad Pro more and more each day. Another nice accessory is the adapter that Apple offers to adapt the lightening connector to HDMI, allowing you to watch videos on your TV.

Will this work with Velop?
Yes, I'm using this Gigabit Ethernet Switch with the Linksys Velop. The Velop devices have two Ethernet ports, ether for both ports being used as output or one of the ports being used for the incoming Internet connection. I'm using the Gigabit Ethernet Switch to connect a desktop PC, a media player and other devices. Simply connect an Ethernet cable from the Velop device to the Gigabit Ethernet Switch and then use other Ethernet cables to connect your other PC's or devices.
