I utilize this as a fridge in my room for my insulin. It's always on. It only cools to the surrounding air temperature, so if it's warm in the room,it doesn't maintain a colder temp in the fridge. Also, there are drain holes inside on the back that you have to constantly maintain as it does displace water inside the cooler. To that effect, I have placed paper towels inside and have to diligent with exchanging them out when they become soaked, about once a week. However, it is a good size for what I need it for and the fan is normally fairly quiet If you are using it for a work environment, you many want to be very careful in its placement.
