I had been looking for an inexpensive Blu-ray player to put in our bedroom. Granted this item is refurbished and not new, but to be able to find an Internet compatible name brand unit for under $40 was fantastic! If this item were normal price (over $80) then I'd drop it at least two stars as it would be a very "Meh" purchase for that amount of money.
The device came in the original Samsung box with the remote and power cord. I had it hooked up and running within minutes. Others have written about it not really being 3-D compatible. I can't really comment on that because I don't have a 3-D capable TV, but this device works perfect for being able to play Blu-ray/DVD's on our bedroom TV again (the little cheap no-name DVD player we used to have hooked up in there crapped out on us several months ago.
One disappointing thing for me was that this device runs on the Opera TV Store for apps. While they had some of the major ones already on the device (YouTube, Netflix, etc..), I couldn't find the MLB app. I use that on my phone and other devices in the house to watch my out-of-market Cubs games via my premium subscription. It's not a huge deal as I can always just use my phone to cast it if need be, just disappointing that a major app like that isn't on there.
