Thought maybe, by the title, it would be a blues flavored album, but, it's not. Just another solid effort from a very under-appreciated band. Great song titles and a nice package too.
The packaging is great but sadly the movie itself is no fun. Actually prefer the packaging on the Blu-ray over the steel box, oddly enough. Liked the movie better in the theater.
The cover is a little lame, though not the lamest of his 7 releases, but the recording is very good, the sound quality also very good and although it's 39 years old, it does not sound at all dated. Still fresh rock 'n' roll and interesting choices for the 4 cover versions.
This collector's edition release brings together The Mummy film trilogy and Scorpion King spinoff, in advance of the series reboot due to hit theaters in June 2017. Included in this set are The Mummy (1999), The Mummy Returns (2001), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), and The Scorpion King (2002).
The steel book package is great and a very nice grouping of these Mummy movies, however the new Tom Cruise Mummy movie was so much better, these pale a bit by comparison.
Have enjoyed the vinyl album for years and was excited to see a deluxe edition cd now available and was not disappointed. The extra tracks were well worth it and the remastered sound was actually a good improvement. A great rock and roll album for sure.
