In 1976 & 1977 hanging out with David Bowie in Berlin, Germany Iggy collaborated with David on The Idiot and Lust For Life. The Idiot has 8 great songs including China Doll and Sister Midnight. The Idiot started Iggy's career after The Stooges and he still is going strong. It is very different from his earlier work with The Stooges.

Bonus Disc is Amazing

The remastered original album on disc #1 is great, but the disc #2 with demos is simply amazing. The harmonies sung by McCartney & Costello are super. Often the "bonus disc" songs in reissue packages get a bit tiresome, but disc #2 in this set is a gem!

This band never releases a bad album. Hot Thoughts is another HOT album by Spoon. Every song is catchy - great singing - great lyrics - great musicianship. If you are a fan of Spoon you will like this album. If you are new to Spoon it is a great place to start.

Sounds Great on Vinyl

The first T Rex album I got back in the 70s was Electric Warrior. This album was the predecessor to Electric Warrior and I was curious. It was a VERY pleasant surprise.
To me it relates to Electric Warrior silmilar to how David Bowie's Hunky Dory relates to Ziggy Stardust.
Highly recommended and it sounds super on vinyl.

If you are a Beatles fan this Christmas CD by Ringo is a must. Great work by Ringo on 6 original songs PLUS there is one song that all the Beatles worked on back in the 60's. It was part of their Fan Club recordings so you have George, John, Paul & Ringo all together on this song titled "Christmas Time Is Here Again". You can tell that the boys had great fun recording this one for their fans. You can't help but smile. In addition to the originals, Ringo covers 5 classic Christmas songs including Blue Christmas & Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer. Good fun!

McCartney Reconnects With Martin

On the Tug Of War album Paul McCartney brings on George Martin to produce. Martin produced the Beatles albums & does a great job here. There are cool duets with Stevie Wonder and Carl Perkins. Also, Ringo shows up to play on some tracks. A great collection of different styles with Paul's wonderful sense of melody throughout.

Hidden Gem From 1973

If you are familiar with Captain Beyond then you know this is a great album. If not, it is a classic from 1973 that immediately takes you back to that time, but still sounds fresh today. Sort of like Deep Purple from the same timeframe, but less pop & more of a jam band. Great grooves by great musicians.

If you are a fan of Tom Petty & Bob Dylan you will love this. Because it is a live radio broadcast the immaculate sound quality that you get on a Tom Petty studio recording is not there, but once you ease into the set it is great fun. The Heartbreakers were obviously having a blast on the never ending tour with Bob!

This is a GREAT CD! You would think Iggy was collaborating with Bowie again on this collection. Josh Homme & Iggy worked magic on these songs - channeling the spirit of how David Bowie & Iggy worked together back in 1977. The strings playing a waltz at the end of "Sunday" are great and the rant at the end of "Paraguay" is classic!
