Does this cable work for a tv? The box indicates its for a computer.
Specs say: "This 6' Insignia™ NS-PG06501 cable allows you to transfer data from an HDMI source to a component with an HDMI input and features stranded, twisted-pair, tin-plated copper conductors and 24K gold plating for optimized signal integrity." If your TV has an HDMI input it should be fine on that end. You do not say what you are connecting to the TV, but it will need an HDMI output.

Can you split the screen on this monitor.
I have to reference things on other programs while working on my documents. Would love to have this on one monitor vs. having two monitors.
You can certainly open two widows and place them side by side on this monitor with room to spare. Split screen, such as Win 8.1 laptops/PC have, is a feature of the OS not the monitor. As far as I can see, monitor will accept only 1 input at a time.

Can't find a right Cable to connect PC laptop to the TV
I bought a plasma TV from BestBuy. I have bought several cables to connect my laptop to the TV but no cables seem to work. Laptop doesn't have HDMI connection but DVI/DVI N and the TV has only HDMI connection. What would be the right cable that would connect my laptop to this TV?
