Great product but need adapter

We have Direct TV and SONY surround sound. According to Direct TV and the Geek Squad, there is no way to use both the head phones and the surround sound. With the help of a salesman at Best Buy's home theater, we figured out that we can purchase a splitter on Amazon from which splits the audio out slot. So, now we can use these headphones. And, they work both with another person watching without headphones (using the surround sound) and with the surround sound off. They have excellent sound, have great noise cancelling, are very comfortable, and do their own surround sound through the headphones.

I use this MP3 Player primarily to exercise. The sound is quite good and the player itself seems quite durable. However, the headphones have already broken.
