I bought this to replace a previous model of sony mp3 player that I had lost. After reading some negative reviews online, I shrugged them off as flukes and bought this anyway, hoping those were just incidents of defective models. BOY, WAS I WRONG! Not only does this model NOT play videos, NOT have as good sound quality, NOT have the volume button on the round face button like previous models so you end up accidentally switching songs/views, but the shuffle function has been totally messed up. Instead of playing different song shuffles every time you press play after a while, IT PLAYS THE SAME EXACT SHUFFLE OVER AND OVER AGAIN SO YOU END UP HEARING THE SAME SONGS YOU JUST HEARD, CAUSING YOU TO HAVE TO SKIP OVER ALL OF THOSE SONGS TO GET TO THE ONE YOU HAVEN"T HEARD!!! I thought I was done with that nonsense when I gave up cassettes. Of course, the shuffle function lulls you into a false sense of security by playing a different first song at the beginning of every shuffle, ONLY TO REGRESS BACK TO THE SAME @#!% LINE OF SONGS YOU JUST HEARD! UGH!!! SO FRUSTRATING!!! I returned it immediately and ended up buying the older model online (not from best buy) and now I am happy (finally). Sony, please correct this problem. Your customers deserve better.

I needed a new phone to replace my old HTC that I had had for a year and was not performing to speed (at least mine). I shopped around online and read many reviews. I needed a phone with more memory (my old HTC only had 4 gigs) a bigger screen, a better camera and a newer version of android. This phone seemed to fit the bill. I am not really an app addict, so I don't need tons and tons of memory for apps (I only download about 3, plus I have a micro SD card), just enough for my apps, the necessary updates plus a little more. I love taking photos so the 8 megapixel camera comes in handy (and makes a huge difference) and the 5.7" screen is awesome in every way. Very high definition, and I can actually see the screen when I am using the phone outdoors on a bright day, big plus! I didn't think I would care much for the stylus pen, but now my fingers feel naked without it. Plus, the phone is described as having the android version 5.0, but it actually has 5.1.1, something I found out as soon as I opened the box. Battery life is much better than my old HTC, but as we all know, phone settings (such as brightness) affect the battery life. Mobile data on this phone is much faster, so I suppose memory is the key. My only gripe is that I can't trim my music for ringtone assignments as I could my old phone. but that's no biggie. It was actually between this and the Samsung Galaxy, but I chose this for its bigger screen and better camera (though the galaxy had a 16 gig internal memory) but, being a non-app addict and having a a micro SD card, this didn't sell me on the Samsung, plus it was $20 more. The phone was a little on the pricey side (I usually make it a point not to spend over a certain amount for a phone) but it was worth it. Great phone for someone who wants a good reliable, high performance phone with enhanced features where they count without a lot of unnecessary junk and added cost.
