When I was in the store I asked about a USB port on either the Galaxy Note or the Galaxy Tab4 and was told none of the tablets have them, yet the Galaxy Tab 4 product specs says there is one. Is there one? Can I use it to hook up to a printer?

Yes it has a Micro USB port that you can use or just print wireless... Sorry can't answer your second question.
