Stream your favorite TV shows and movies straight to your TV with the Roku Ultra. It has voice search to make finding your next binge easier, and it's compatible with 4K Ultra HD displays for crystal-clear picture quality. The Roku Ultra includes a lost remote finder so you never have to search the couch cushions again.
I went with the Ultra to future proof and for the voice input on the remote.
The Ultra has performed as expected except for the following: - Using an IR universal remote is not great. The IR receiver could be better - Voice search has not worked well. It takes multiple times to get voice to text to work correctly if at all
Other nit picks are across to Roku interface: - Universal search would be nice. If I don't have Hulu installed, don't include it in the results. - The interface is dated and needs a serious refresh - Having to purchase a skin to change the look?
If I had to do it again, I'd probably choose the Premiere + andI'd save $30. It still has HDR and you lose the faulty voice input.
Designed for use with a variety home automation and entertainment devices, this Logitech Harmony Elite 915-000256 remote allows easy control through closed cabinets or walls for flexible use. The remote works with Alexa, and the Harmony mobile app supports simple on-to-go operation.
I'm coming from the Harmony One. It was a great remote but the buttons wear out and it's limited to IR. I had an eye on the Elite for a while. The RF to the hub was only part of the selling point. The remote also supports direct IR (from the remote to the Device), IP control (my AVR), Bluetooth connectivity (my Apple TV/PC), smart home integration and universal sync across your smartphone apps/remote. The sync is a dramatic improvement from using the Harmony desktop software using a USB connection. The IR from the hub had better reach than I expected in my 4 shelf closed (glass) cabinet. The Xbox One did require the IR extender to be placed in front of the XB1 IR. The buttons require less effort and hopefully don't suffer from same wear as the other Harmony remotes. Time will tell how it holds up. Overall, the price is worth the upgrade for the enhanced features and future uses. An example is Amazon Echo integration for voice control released recently. Check pricing and see if there is an opportunity for price match. Highly recommended!
