Got this to go in the bedroom. I have it connected from the digital out on the tv. Sound quality is good for the price point. I wouldn't recommend it for a living room home theater, but to add a little bit to a bedroom tv, it's good. The wireless sub was a snap to set up. The remote allows for setting the subwoofer level. Also has a "standard", "voice" and "cenima" settings. Standard is what it suggests, voice (from what my ears tell me) just cuts the bass frequencies, and cenima is a "wide" stereo mode. One last point, my wife got this for me for Father's Day, not really excited about it herself. Now, she doesn't want to listen to the t.v. without it.

I have vizio VX37L HDTV 10A looking for soundbar . do i have to get a Vizio sound bar or can I use any brand
I'm no expert, but I would think you could use any brand. Just pay close attention to what outputs your tv has, and what inputs the soundbar has. Using a Vizio soundbar would probably be easier, but I bet anything that has a compatible input would work. Hope this helps

My Magnavox TV has no optical input jack. What can I do besides an optical connection? Thank you, Bob
The soundbar has a 1/8" input jack. If your tv has an aux out, or headphone out (anything with a 1/8" out) it should work. I have an lg tv with a headphone out, and it sent a signal to the soundbar. I had to make some adjustments in the audio menu of the tv, but it wasn't too hard. Hope this helps.
