This is my 3rd iPad, and definitely the best one yet. The screen is absolutely beautiful. The colors are so vivid! I am completely satisfied with this iPad. I was afraid that I would regret not spending the extra money to move up to the other iPad with all the toys, but I do not regret that decision at all. This one has everything I need. I tend to store a lot of music on my iPad, and keep my pictures on it forever, so I needed more storage. This one will have all the storage I need for a long time. And did I mention that the colors and the screen are gorgeous? Definitely beyond my expectations.

I purchased this speaker to play music from my I-Phone, and that is what it does. It has a very nice, rich sound, as you would expect from Bose. I purchased it for inside use, so I don't mind that it has a cord to plug in (and I won't need to worry about replacing batteries every time I use it). It is small and light enough for me to move around from room to room with no problem, although I will probably eventually get an additional one to put in my office so that I don't need to move it as often. If I leave my i-Phone on pause for too long, the speaker does shut itself off. This is probably a good thing, and it is no big deal to turn it back on when I do return to the room and want to resume listening to music. I have not investigated all the features yet, but it definitely does what I bought it to do, and I am very happy with my purchase.

After using a 3rd generation iPad for 2 years, I replaced it with a new iPad Air. The iPad Air is lighter, but it is also thinner. I was concerned about breaking it, so instead of a front-only cover like I had for my old iPad, I opted for one that protected both the front and back of the iPad Air. The cover does make me feel less anxious about handling the iPad Air, so it is doing the job I wanted it to do, but doesn't add too much extra weight back to it. The front cover does not seem like it closes as tightly against the front of the iPad as the front-only cover on the old one does, but it stays closed as it is supposed to do and instantly puts the iPad to sleep when you close it, which is a very nice feature (as far as I know, the Apple brand case is the only brand that does this, but I'm not 100% positive about that). I would not hesitate to purchase this cover again or to recommend it to a friend.

What's great about it: It protects the front AND back of the iPad Air, and puts the iPad to sleep when it is closed.
What's not so great: Color choices in the leather are limited.

Will it fit in a back pack
Yes, it will fit in a backpack. It is about 8 inches x 5 inches x 3 inches, and weighs about 3 lbs. It does have to be plugged in to electricity, though, so it is not suitable for use where there is no electricity. The speakers that I looked at that were made for portability were much smaller than this one, and would fit much better in a backpack and not be as heavy to carry around, but I don't know how much the sound quality would suffer. I listened to the little Bose Mini speaker listed below, and it sounded pretty good in the store.
