This is no microwave, toaster oven or broiler…it’s a revolutionary new way to cook. Hugely popular in Asia and available in the US for the first time, the Panasonic HomeCHEF 7-in-1 Compact Oven uniquely uses the power of steam and convection cooking together so you can roast, bake, steam, slow cook, air fry and ferment your way to incredible meals, sides and desserts. With combination cooking, steam insures consistently juicy, tender melt-in-your-mouth insides while convection delivers perfectly brown, crispy outsides. What would normally require 2-3 different processes can now be done in 1…plus, the enclosed space means less nutrients escape than with stovetop cooking. The HomeCHEF 7-in-1 is large enough to fit a whole chicken or a dozen muffins, yet small enough to outperform a traditional oven in both accuracy and speed. The icing on the (deliciously baked) cake? With steam you can sanitize everything from utensils to baby bottles, plus prep the inside cavity for easy wipe-and-go cleanup.

A great addition for a large families
on November 17, 2022
Posted by: Viabledata
The Panasonic HomeChef Compact Oven has been a great addition to my kitchen and has made my cooking needs much easier to handle. With its 7 in 1 design I have been able to use this oven along side my regular Air Fryer, and it provides much more capacity so I am able to air fry more than one food at a time with out having to have it all mixed together.
Out of the box, this oven is on the big side as far as countertop ovens go. It is tall and deep. Adequate countertop space is going to be needed. It also sits very close to the bottom of the cupboards, so trying to have it out more in the open for heat dissipation would be better. Set up is easy and requires very little effort. There is a small guide that simply explains the different settings. It comes with 2 racks and 2 cooking trays. It has a water tray on the bottom that needs to be filled for steam cooking. It is easy to remove and fill or clean. On the initial bake there is a bit of an odor that comes from the oven but went away quick. The baking requires the oven to preheat, oddly even for the air fry setting. It would be nice to see instant heating but it's not that big of a deal for me. It does preheat quicker than my main kitchen oven and has more accurate cooking temps. I do a lot of cooking for a family of 5 and this oven serves great as a backup oven to help get things done, or to handle a lot of smaller things to bake when making large complex meals. I am excited for it to be a great use to help handle Thanksgiving dinner so I can cook sides while the turkey cooks in the main oven. Its steam convection leaves roasts and meatloaf juicy and delectable. The air fry setting can be tricky to use and again I really only use it in addition to my regular air fryer.
Overall I would recommend for larger families that need extra cooking power in the kitchen or those who do not have a range. The black is sleek and it is nice with such a large viewing window. It is a little tough to accommodate counter space for it, but fits my needs perfectly.

The premium vacuum and mop solution like no other. It’s the only 2-in-1 with D.R.I. (Dry Rug Intelligence) means the Roomba Combo j7+ uses carpet detection and the Auto Retract Mopping System that lifts itself to the top of the robot, completely away from carpet preventing wet messes entirely. On hard floors, it vacuums and mops at the same time. The 4-Stage Cleaning system combines our Edge-Sweeping Brush, Dual Multi-Surface Rubber Brushes, Power-Lifting Suction and first-of-its-kind mopping with added pressure for a thorough clean. It's all designed to keep your carpet and hard floors cleaner while avoiding obstacles at the same time—so you can live your life.

vacuum mop combo to make cleaning easy
on November 1, 2022
Posted by: Viabledata
The iRobot Roomba J7 vacuum and mop is the new line of Roomba's and it does an amazing job, although not with out a few missing features of other robot vacuums that I would like to see.
Out of the box, the assembly is quite easy to handle and not a lot of work is needed to put it together. First get all of the packing material off of it like tape and any foam pieces that may be attached. Then get the base station unwrapped and plugged in. Set the roomba on the base station platform with the charging pads aligned and let the Roomba start charging. It has a pretty low charge when unboxing. It will take several hours for it to charge back up to 100%. In the meantime, you will need to download the iRobot app and you can mostly start setup once the vacuum is fully charged.
When starting setup, the Roomba will need to get a layout of the house in order to make a map of the rooms and paths it will use. For a 6 room (Kitchen, Dining, Family, Living, Bathroom, Hall & Entry) Layout it took about an hour and a half for it to map it all out. You will need to get any debris or objects that are not normally in the way out of its path so it can what is supposed to be there or not. Otherwise it will vacuum around that stuff until you make a new map. It takes up quite a bit of battery to make a map so that is why it is important to charge it up all the way first. It makes quite a few passes around in each room to fully map.
After the mapping is done, you can look at the map and edit the names or move room dividers. On the Roomba before starting a job, you will want to fill the mop tank. There is one bag of concentrated floor cleaner for tile and other flooring, and one bag of concentrated cleaner just for hardwood floors. You pour in the solution to the top of the tank, then fill up the rest with water. The dirty solution will get stored on the bottom of the tank. It needs to be filled and drained every mop cycle. You can go out and buy a large bottle of the cleaning solution after you use the starter packs. Upon set up you will also need to install the mop pad onto the arm. It slides onto the bracket and is easy to put on and take off.
The Roomba comes with a manual, extra vacuum bag, extra brush, and extra mop pad.
Once the map is set, you can start running the cleaning cycles and you can choose whether to just vacuum, or vacuum and mop. You are able to choose specific rooms to clean or make it clean the whole floor. Vacuuming power is decent. It seems to pick up good and vacuums well on short carpet. Longer carpet pyle is not going to get as clean, but it does do a good job of getting surface dirt, etc. When selecting the job, you can choose how many passes you want it to make and how much water it uses during the mopping cycle. It does a great job of transitioning between tile/hardwood flooring and carpet. The mopping capability is nice, but it is not the cure all. I think you will still have to hand mop the floor every once in a while, and the roomba just maintains it. The mopping tank is easy to remove and install as well, but I have had it open on me a couple of times during the cleaning, and you just have to push it back shut.
Overall the Roomba J7 does a great job and cleaning and mopping. I do find it a bit on the slower side of cleaning though, and it would be nice if it had a live map of where the robot is in the house and the paths it has already cleaned. I would also like it if it could clean the corners and walls first before the open areas. You also need to change out the mop pad every few cleanings and wash it which tends to get a bit tedious. A lot of the changes I would like to see would mostly be software side.

Great SSD for gaming!
on November 1, 2022
Posted by: Viabledata
The Western Digital BLACK 40 Solid State Drive is a must have for your gaming experience. Whether gaming on PC, Xbox Series X/S, or PS5, you can utilize this drive for much needed 1TB of extra storage when it comes to gaming. I used this SSD on the PC and will review based on that.
Out of the box, the hard drive itself is about the size of a credit card, just a bit longer. It has a nice solid feel to it and does not feel very fragile. It is also lightweight, but enough weight to it to make it feel durable, which is a securing thought with something that stores information. There is a little folded page that diagrams how to hook the hard drive up on each source and info on formatting the hard drive to which ever source you are choosing to use. It comes with a beefy USB-C cable that is around a foot and a half in length. If using this drive for PC, you will just use the USB-C cable connected to a Thunderbolt port. If connecting to the Xbox or the PS5, it comes with an adapter to plug in regular usb port. I formatted the drive on PC using the Thunderbolt port, and when I tried plugging it in using the regular USB 3.2 port, I could access the drive from Windows Explorer, but it would not show up on the Xbox app or Steam download drives. When I plugged it back into Thunderbolt port, it instantly recognized it again, so i'm not sure if it can be used on PC with the USB 3.2 ports.
When first plugging in the drive into the PC, you will want to go to Windows Explorer and find the WD_Black Drive. Open it and inside will be a program to install the WD Dashboard, which is used to monitor and use features of the WD_Black drive. After installing the dashboard, you will want to exit out of everything, go back to windows explorer, right click on the drive, go to format.. Once in the format screen you will set the file structure to NTFS, quick format and you can rename the drive if you want. Hit the format button and it will format the drive for PC use. Doing so however will delete the Dashboard install program so make sure you install the program before Formatting. After that, you can create your game folders and link them in the XBOX app or steam store as the primary download location.
Using the dashboard app lets you view the performance of the SSD, the health of it, how much space is used and remaining, and lets you set the RGB functions that are on the SSD too. The outer ring of the drive is LED lit and you can select between many choices for which one to use. The dashboard program also lets you see your drives temps and interface speed capability. There are some additional tools available depending on what hard drive you are viewing and allow you to manage your SSD better.
Gaming performance is as expected. The load times are very short when testing games like Doom Eternal, Dead By Daylight, and the new Modern Warfare 2. Loading is usually so quick you just end up at the mercy of your internet connection for any online play. Transfer speeds outside of gaming are pretty good. Transferring an 8GB file from an internal SSD to the WD_Black drive took about 30 seconds.
Overall the performance and value of the WD_Black SSD is pretty good, but unfortunately with gaming, 1TB just never seems like enough! I would still say this drive is well worth getting. It is sleek, adds some style with the RGB and will get you the fast speeds you need to load your games in a flash!

small but useful doorbell
on October 5, 2022
Posted by: Viabledata
The Wyze wired video doorbell is probably one of the simplest devices I have set up before. Its quick setup, functionality, and ease of use make this a great doorbell device to give your home.
One thing you first notice is how small it is. With just a pushbutton and a small camera, mic and speaker, it is only a few inches tall. Setup is about the toughest part of the whole thing, because it does have to be wired to existing doorbell power wiring to work. Which I would recommend getting professional help if you are not comfortable shutting off the power to area's of your home or handling electrical wiring. It is essentially figuring out if you need the horizontal wedge mount, attaching that if you need it, connecting 2 wires, and fast securing onto the wedge plate. Outside installation done.
Inside, the doorbell come with it's own chime receiver box, which I love because other doorbells I have used, want to just chime through the app and only the person with the app can hear the doorbell ring. This rings in the house so everyone can hear it.
Downloading the Wyze app, setting up the device in the app is super easy and fast. You can access the video feed from whenever you want, but there is a wyze subscription package needed to store video and access some features. The video quality and range is pretty good for a doorbell camera of this size, and definitely worth it to add that extra safety to your home security. The two way audio works well, but is a bit delayed over the network.
Overall, I would recommend getting this just for the ease of use and setup, and that it includes its own chime box and not just a chime from the app on your phone.

Quick setup handy cameras
on October 5, 2022
Posted by: Viabledata
The Wyze Outdoor camera bundle is a cool, useful addition to any home security. Its full wireless cameras provide a great picture and video, and long lasting rechargeable batteries mean less downtime with camera coverage, especially if paired with the Wyze solar panels.
Out of the box, it is quite an easy setup. There is a base station that needs to be plugged into a wall outlet, and also plugged into your modem/router, so it needs to be positioned nearby to that. You download the Wyze app and setup a new device. It will find the base station on your network and link up all of the camera's that you have set up. It is a 3 camera bundle so it gives plenty of coverage around the house. From there in the app, you can then view each camera's video feed or access its recorded footage. The camera bundle on the Wyze app does have a subscription service for extra features, but does come with basic recording a storage.
Setting up the camera's is easy, and kind of innovative the way they designed the mounts into the camera. The bottom pulls out and swivels to give 360 mounting options. The base is also magnetic so it can stick to flat metal surfaces with out being anchored down with screws. The base plates also have spots to mount with screws so you have both options. The camera's have on and off switches hidden under weather seals, has a place for a mini sd card (which are not included), and a charging port. I would get some sd cards for the cameras if you are not able to set up cloud storage.
The video quality for these cameras are pretty good. You can make out good detail from a fairly decent distance. The motion activation does a good job detecting and picking up those movements. The color night vision really didn't grab my attention, due to the fact that it is all based on where you mount the camera, area lighting around the camera and how dark it is any distance from the camera as well. Audio capture is pretty good, though understanding some conversation was a bit difficult and hard to hear, again depending how far away the noise is from the camera.
Overall, these cameras are very easy to set up and get using in very little time with the wyze app. It offers quick video security and peace of mind when away from home.

Fun scooter for the kids!
on October 5, 2022
Posted by: Viabledata
The Hover-1 Blast exceeded my expectations as a Electric Self-Balancing Scooter. It is easy to use, relatively fast charging, and surprisingly more controllable than I thought. The kids have fun taking turns on this, and protective safety gear is a must. While it does a good job balancing, there are still some falls.
Out of the box, the scooter comes ready to be charged and used. The kids were definitely excited to get a turn, and took them quite a bit of learning to feel comfortable using it with out help or holding on to something. It is rocker activated, so leaning a forward tilt with the feet will accelerate the scooter forward. Standing flat will coast the scooter to a stop if using some speed, but will stop pretty quickly if going slow, and leaning a backward tilt will accelerate the scooter backward. It has cool looking LED lights on the wheels and on the standing pad to give it some fun flair.
The scooter has a weight limit of 130 pounds. The build quality of the scooter is really solid feeling and sturdy, but I would probably say it would operate better for kids under 100 pounds. The foot pad is also only so big, so kids with big feet may find it uncomfortable riding it. It gets moving pretty swiftly at 7mph on flat ground, but It looks like it struggles a little bit on inclined side walks, or inclined driveways. . It does handle cracks in the sidewalk ok, but isn't the greatest on uneven surfaces. You definitely get the best results riding on flat pavement. I would avoid riding on loose rock or gravel cause if you fall that is a nasty injury. Learning to steer on it is also a bit difficult.
Overall, the kids love it and really enjoy riding it. It has a pretty decent battery life but seems to go quick with 3 kids wanting to keep getting turns. I just charge it overnight after the battery runs out and it is ready for the next day.

Lots of coverage for lots of devices!
on September 17, 2022
Posted by: Viabledata
This Linksys Atlas 6 kit brings an advantage to wifi modules that I love; being able to hardwire multiple devices into each module. Being able to range extend and power ethernet devices that don't have wifi makes life easy.
Out of the box, there are three Atlas 6 modules that link together to form a connection. You don't have to use all 3 if you choose not to. 3 modules can cover up to 6000 sq. feet of range and connect up to 75 devices. Each module uses its's own power adapter and there is one ethernet cable included to connect from your modem to your main module.
Setup is easy with the Linksys app that you need to download. The only issue I had was that it does not play well with gateways. A lot of internet providers supply a wireless gateway instead of a traditional modem and they don't like to talk to each other unless you make a bunch of settings changes, or get with support from your internet provider to be able to set it up correctly for you.
The speeds carried through the modules wifi are reduced, even though it is using wifi 6 which is supposed to handle gigabit speeds. I have about 50% speed loss through wifi on gigabit connection, but it may be less if you have a slower connection. I think it's more of a "cap" the transfer speed for wifi6.
Overall the coverage is amazing and as I said, being able to connect non wifi ethernet devices to the module makes it well worth it. Besides being designed for standard modem/non gateway users, it is definitely worth recommending

Super powered charger for super powered phone
on September 17, 2022
Posted by: Viabledata
The Insignia 30w usb-c compact charger for Apple/Iphone is a very solid buy. While being meant for the Iphone 14 pro only, it uses an Apple lightning end to plug in the phone so you can charge many other devices with this cable. The difference though is this supports the full 30w super fast charging on the Iphone 14 pro, in comparison to the 15-16w on the Iphone 13.
The build quality of the charger is pretty good. The wall plug has a slight bit of weight to it, so it doesn't feel like its going to break apart very easily, and the 6ft cable has a bit of thickness to it so it feels very durable. Would have been better to include a no tangle braided cable but this one works great, and includes a velcro tie wrap attached to the cable for easy cable management.
Overall, the charging speed on the 14 pro is super fast and charges from a couple percent to 50% in about 25 minutes. It's about 35-40 minutes on other model phones. The only downside to this charger is that the wall plug is not really on the compact side. It is bulky for a wall plug, but it may just be considered compact compared to the size of other 30w chargers.

What you want in wireless gaming
on September 12, 2022
Posted by: Viabledata
The Rig 800 Pro HX wireless headset has exceeded my expectations and is a unique and wonderful pair of headphones for gaming.
Setting up is easy, and you can use on the Xbox, or on the PC. It comes with a charging stand, to which the included usb dongle fits into a port in the middle that is used for sending and receiving the wireless signal. If you don't want to have your charging stand close to your computer or Xbox, you can just put the receiver dongle directly into a usb port on the device, and plug in the usb for the charger stand elsewhere.
There is a light on the front of the charger stand that will show when it is charging. The usb cable that runs from the base to the xbox/computer is a little under 3' long. The headset can only sit in the charger one way as the charging pins are only on one side.
The headset is an all in one design, as it has a mixer built into it. The microphone can be stored in the up position and is how you mute the mic, it unmutes when you swing it into the down position. On the left ear, there is a power button. Holding it will turn your headset on or off and tapping it will give you a status update of the battery and connectivity. There is a volume roller, and there is a chat/gameplay mixer roller that can be used for more chat, balanced, or more gameplay. When the volume roller is spun, it does not stop turning, but will give an auditory noise when it is at max level down and up.
The headset has a unique design, as it adjusts with snap brackets. The tabs pop out of the bracket and you can adjust the headset length that way, and there is also a cushion strap that can be removed as well.
The headset is very comfortable to wear, the ear pads are very soft, but breathable, and the cups are large enough to fit completely over large ears.
Sound quality is very good, but has room for improvement. The headphones are loud, but the overall max volume is a little low in my opinion. I get that it's dangerous to exceed so many decibles in headphone because of hearing damage but these could use a little more on the top end.
The spatial sound is really good and can easily tell direction when playing shooting games . The microphone quality is very clear and clean by those who were asked online.
The bass driver in these headphones are pretty good. They actually give sub frequency bass and testing them they respond to about 25hz. It isn't crazy loud ringing your head bass, but is definitely a plus considering a lot of gaming headset bass drivers don't go into sub frequency.
Overall, these headphones are a very cool wireless setup for gaming, especially between xbox and pc. They are comfortable and have great sound. I was able to wear them for a couple hours with out getting any ear fatigue. I would just ask that they consider making the overall max volume higher.

A great controller with a pro feel
on September 6, 2022
Posted by: Viabledata
The Corsair Instict Pro wireless xbox controller is a great competitor and substitute to the Xbox Elite2 controller!
It has a sleek design, with paddles built into the backside of the controler along with sensitivity switches for them. They are not removable on this controller. It does come with 2 extra thumbsticks that you can swap out by popping up the thumbsticks on the controller and pressing the new ones back in place. It seems to be a smooth process but does not feel the most comfortable when doing so, like it kind of feels like its going to break.
The contoller comes with non rechargable batteries, but also comes with a 6 ft usb cable for connecting. Everthing on the contoller feels very similar to a standard xbox controller. One thing they have also added is a mic mute button right on the front of the controller by the headset port, so if you are running a headset that does not have a mic mute right at the controller, this makes it extremely easy to mute.
The overall feel of the controller is solid and well built. The way the joysticks swap out is the only thing that really concerns me but I have not had any problems yet.
This controller is also able to connect to the Xbox AND a Windows PC like the Elite2 does, which greatly opens up the gaming experience. I love using an xbox controller on both platforms.
Overall, the rear paddles take a little getting used to and can be accidentally pushed when you don't want them to. The feel and grip of the controller is very close to an Elite2 controller, the button presses are solid and fast responsive, and has easy connectivity across platforms. Would have loved to see it come with a rechargable battery pack, and love the addition of the mute button on the front.
Overall I would recommend

Does they play loud. Most earbuds doesent play very loud. l had Jaybird x3. Good sound bit not so loud

Seems to vary by song, or even device playing them. Some songs for me are soft, then flipping to another song it's so loud it hurts my ears and have to turn down. They can play loud though but varies with the source. It also has an equalizer in the companion app which helps.
