Small but mighty!

The Blueair 411i Max air purifier is a wonderful edition to any room that may be subject to bad odors, close to the kitchen, around pets, or by the bed for the best air quality while you sleep.
Out of the box, the purifier is pretty small and versitile. With its barrel shape and only about a foot around and a couple feet tall, it can really be placed in many areas discreetly and out of the way. The purifier is very lightweight and easy to pick up and handle.
After making sure you take all the tape off and the bag around the filter, you will want to plug in the purifier to the wall outlet and hit the power button on top of the fan. While finding the power button, you will notice the filter is covered by a cloth kind of sock. It is a thicker and durable material and appears to come off and be washed. I have not tried to take that off yet.
After turning the fan on, you will want to connect it to your smartphone via the blueair app. In that app, you will find and set up the purifier so you have full control of the unit from your phone. You will need home wifi to do this. After setup is complete, the app will provide an air quality meter, fan speed control, filter status, as well as setting a schedule for running. The app is very easy to use and handle and has a nice flowing design. Some of the controls you are able to use right on top of the fan as well, including power button, and fan control (fan control on the device only gives 3 speed options, while contol on the app gives half speed increments as well). A light on the side of the purifier will give indication to its connectivity to the network.
The fan is a top upward blowing fan so you will not want to place it under items where you would be restricting the output. The noise level is generally quiet, but noticable. Having by the bedside creates a nice fan noise for sleeping if you like that, where it's loud enough to hear the fan noise, but not overwhelming to keep you awake. It has a pretty decent air output on high, but does not do much in the way of air movemement for cooling. Only for cleaning air.
Overall, this is a great little air puifier to filter smaller individial rooms. With ease of contol with the app, and the air quality meter, it makes making sure your home air quality is at its best an easy task.

Good temporary relief
on May 4, 2023

These Hyland's Naturals Earache Drops are handy to aid in ear pain, but I would not recommend them as a cure all. My kids and wife found earache relief using these drops, but not until we had the med clinic check their ears out and make sure there was no other damage. It also helped break up ear wax that was in my wifes ears and relieved some ear ache pain she had. I don't think these drops are meant for much more than a temporary relief. We have been taking the drops with us to the indoor pool and seems to help well when the kids get swimmers ear. No more compaints after a few minutes from getting out from the pool.
Overall they are nice drops to have around in a pinch. It's temporary relief as long as you know there is no other damage to the ear canal. I would definitely consult your doctor if the pain gets worse after putting the drops in or if the pain doesn't go away after a short period. The kids have asked for the drops multiple times now, especially after their baths and showers.

A great protective case
on March 24, 2023

This Insignia Hard shell case for the Iphone 14 Pro Max delivers an effective, protective peace of mind for your phone. It is magsafe charge compatible. It does not have the mag circle in the case but It will still work with wireless charging pads. The mag charging pack does not work with this case. It needs a case with the ring inside. The design on the case is made into the plastic and doesn't seem that it will rub off or scratch off over time. This case has already protected my phone from a few different drops from about 5 feet onto concrete. It does not protect the screen though so you will need a screen protector to go along with this case.
The phone fits snug into the case and feels good to hold. It doesn't feel slick or slippery like it is going to fall out of your hand. Overall, This is a great hard plastic case for your Iphone 14 Pro Max and it will do a great job to protect it. I like that there are many designs available and I feel confident that my phone will stay protected. I feel this is a great value compared to the cost of many other cases out there.

A great way to hear!
on December 17, 2022

The Go Hearing- Go Prime OTC Hearing Aids are an easy, beneficial upgrade to your hearing capabilities. Whether you have minor or severe hearing loss, or just want to hear better over standard hearing, these non prescription hearing aids can provide a comfortable, stylish solution to help you hearing better.
Out of the box, these hearing aids are pretty simple to use. You need to take them out of the charging case, and each one has a small plastic strip over the charging port that needs to be removed. After doing that, replace each hearing aid back into the case, and then take them back out again and they will turn on automatically. They are labeled for each ear so it is easy to know which ear they go into. They sit pretty deep into the ear canal, so there is a little plastic pull strip that extends off of each hearing aid. I found that it can be a bit tricky to actually grasp the strip, but overall not a difficult process to remove from the ear.
Using the hearing aids provide a significant amount of amplification into each ear. If you need to adjust the level between your ears, there is a button on the earbud that gives you about 3 different amplification levels. For a more normal feeling, you will tailor the levels to each ear depending on the amount of hearing loss in each ear. If you have normal hearing but want an amplified experience, you will need to make sure both earbuds are set on the same level of amplification or it will seem like one of the hearing aids is not working. I have used the hearing aids for about 6 hours during each use, and found the battery life to be very good, but because these hearing aids sit deeper in the ear canal, they collect ear wax much easier. Cleaning the earwax off of the cups is not the easiest as it gets caught in the little slits at the bottom, but is not such a chore to render them unusable. They do provide different cup sizes for the hearing aid and I would try each one to get the best fit.
Usuability during use is simplistic. There is nothing fancy to do with these, as they just amplify sound. Although, When using a phone, pressing something toward your ear, or trying to take the hearing aid out will result in some distortion and squeeling from the hearing aid. The sound quality is ok, but it sounds sometimes like it is coming through a tin can. It is not a huge deal though because the goal is for hearing improvement and these earbuds accomplish that.
Overall, these provide a great improvement to unfortunate hearing loss problems. They may not satisfy all individual needs, but definitely has been an improvement over my hearing loss problems.

A great earbud for all occasions!

The Skullcandy Mod Wireless Earbuds bring fashion, sound and comfortability into one package. Out of the box, there is not much to actually unbox. the earbud case opens and you will find both earbuds. There is a plastic strip over the charging ports on the earbuds that need to be removed before use. You can then put them back in the case and close the lid. Open the lid again and take out each earbud and it will automatically turn them on. You will then be able to bluetooth link to your phone or device. Downloading the skullcandy app can be beneficial as well.
The design of the earbuds are sleek and fit extremely well into the ear canal. The package does come with a couple different sizes of rubber tips to change out according to how big or small your ears are and are easy to change out. There is also a guide included to show what the buttons on the earbuds do. Overall, the earbuds are easy to use and control. They fit well in the ear and the charging case is also sleek and easy to store the earbuds in to charge up. I have used the earbuds for over 12 hours of play time on and off in and out of the case and have not even come close to using all of the battery power.
The sound is a very good quality and feels crisp and louder than a lot of different earbuds I have used. Unfortunately, the bass level in these earbuds is lacking. It provides standard bass, but nothing in a sub frequency. I have had many earbuds that can provide sub bass and I am disappointed to hear none in these. I feel they could have done better on that, but that does not completely define the overall sound quality of the earbuds. They are of a great quality and build, and feel great in the ears.
I would recommend these if you were not concerned with bass, or enjoyed a more natural bass.

Powerhouse with some hiccups
on December 8, 2022
Posted by: Viabledata
The Ibuypower SlateHako2120i desktop is a potential powerhouse for gaming, but it is not with out some quirks.
Out of the box, Ibuypower does a pretty good job packaging the case for shipping and handling. It is cushioned in 2 giant foam blocks on the top and bottom and the inside of the case has an expanded foam insert to protect the components from shifting during handling. After an inspection before setup, everything was in place and secure as it should.
Pulling the side panels off, one side is made of a thick tempered glass, and the other side is just an aluminum cover. The paint and durability of the case is pretty good. The panel IO is on the top of the PC along with an activity light and power button. It has 2 USB 3.1 (blue) ports on the top panel IO along with mic and headphone jacks. The front of the case is also in tempered glass, but provides just a small inlet for fresh air to be pulled in. Would like to see more of an opening for air. The back of the case is normal pc stamped io grating. The side panels are held on by two thumbscrews on each side of the back the case. The bottom of the case has a vent with a filter screen. Overall the case is well built and put together, I would just like to see a larger opening in the front for air.
Inside the case, is very well organized wiring. It is all tucked and organized nicely with no extra lengths of wiring hanging out anywhere. It is one of the cleanest wire tucks I have seen in a case. Attached to the cpu socket is what appears to be a 3rd party cpu cooler to a radiator that exhausts to the top of the case. The cooler and radiator fans have the ibuypower logo on them. The upper portion of the case houses 6 large fans, 4 of them RGB, the 2 radiator fans are not. Air flow through the case seems good as I never suffered poor temps during game play. The fans are also whisper quiet and only emit the slightest hum.
The graphics card is an Intel Arc A750 GPU made by ASRock. It has 2 large cooling fans on the bottom of the card that works well keeping the GPU cooled. The GPU is DDR6 and has 8GB of video memory. I will get more into this card later.
The ram included is just 16GB running at 3000mhz. There are 2 ram sticks at least, but appear to be a basic proprietary manufacturer. These are not RGB. The ram performance is good enough for a solid gaming experience and be good enough for a long while, but if you feel like upgrading, the motherboard has a total of 4 ram slots, upgradable to a whopping 128GB.
The processor is an Intel I7 12700. It is Intels newest generation and boast 12 processing cores. It is mated to a B660 motherboard which is great for longevity and future upgrading. It also comes with a 1TB standard mechanical HDD and a 500GB m.2 solid state drive. The power supply is 600w which is plenty to power the Intel Arc GPU.
Once you get the case setup and are hooking to a monitor, you will see that the graphics card has 2 hdmi ports, and 2 display port ports. The computer comes with warning not to plug your video feed into the integrated graphics. Inside the box you will see a cardboard box that contains the keyboard and mouse. The keyboard is a mechanical style with loads of RGB lights, and the mouse is styled like a Razer mouse. Both are wired with usb ends. For some reason though only the mouse has a no tangle jacketed wire and the keyboard has a regular smooth cable. Both keyboard and mouse are easy to use and definitely boosts the gaming experience. The RGb on the keyboard needs a controller though. It goes kinda crazy and was not able to see a way to change it.
Inside the packing box is also a startup bag. It has several manuals and guides, the power cord, an extra pc cable (for upgrades or changes), and 2 antennas that need to be screwed onto the wifi card if you are using that feature.
The power supply on this model has an on and off switch on the power supply itself that is independant of the actual power button. More like a switch to supply power to the power button.
Now time for the fun stuff.
Booting windows for the first time and setting up is quite taxing. After getting through the initial setup, you will have to do a large update to Windows 11 and all of the drivers. On my PC, the Intel Arc software failed to read and had corrupted files, so I had to go to intels site and download a driver update which resolved the errors. You will have to go to their site and update your card regardless if the software is working or not. The Intel Arc software is independant of the actual GPU and drivers so you can go to add/remove programs and get rid of it if you want. More on this to come.
The Intel Arc software is a tuner for the GPU. You can view temps, voltages, etc, and also overclock from this software as well. For some reason it demands administrator access at every startup which gets quite annoying to have to approve its request every time before windows loads. I ended up uninstalling my arc software.
The computer itself is fast and nimble. Its total boot time after a fresh boot of windows out of the box of less than 10 seconds. It handles well at any task that isn't gaming as well. While the cpu is not the "k" version, its 12 cores do a great job at processing and the temps stay very cool.
Now onto the important part. Gaming performance. This is where the system sees the most quirks. Intel Arc is brand new technology. It does not play well yet with games and compatability. The GPU features are jaw dropping for what it can handle and should be able to run against an rtx 3070 or higher quite well. But since it is so new, not a lot of game designers have support for the Arc cards. I used Xbox for windows to play games with and the results were hit and miss.
I found when launching each game, the game could not recognize the graphics card, and would automatically set all of the graphics to low settings. Make no mistake, this card can handle ultra settings on 1080p and acheive 60fps on games like Forza Horizon 5, Dead by Daylight, Doom Eternal, The Evil Within 2 and more, but for each game, every time you launch, you have to re apply all of your graphics settings. Hopefully Intel or the game designers will patch this issue so it can read the GPU but for now that is the biggest quirk and gripe I have. On all the games I listed, on Ultra settings, I experienced no graphical lagging, juttering, framerate drops, etc. The games ran perfectly smooth and was a great experience. Older titles are much worse off with compatability and have much worse graphical performance. Intel Arc is going to be a fantastic card, they just need some time to work all the bugs out with new tech and that is something you need to decide if you want to mess with when getting this PC. I'm hopeful it will smooth out, but if you don't want to risk it, just get an Ibuypower system with an RTX card instead.
Overal this is an excellent gaming pc and has a lot of great qualities. I would definitely recommend buying an Ibuypower PC if you are in the market, I'm just not sure if it should be with an Intel Arc GPU. That is the reasoning for 4 stars.

A great upgrade to an already great camera!
on November 28, 2022
Posted by: Viabledata
The Sony Vlogger Shotgun Microphone is an excellent upgrade to the Sony vlogger camera's like the ZV-1. It is easy to install on the camera and tremendously increases the sound area you are capturing for your video's. The microphone itself is still relatively small and slides into the top mounting slot for the camera. It does come with a windsock to put over the mic which works great and allows your videos to withstand some of the worst wind noise. Comparing the shotgun mic to the standard mic on the camera can have several variables but overall it provides a much better, cleaner audio for your video. If you are in a small quiet room, the standard mic should be enough for your video, but if you are outside, or in a noisy environment, the shotgun mic really shines. You don't have to worry whether the audio is ok during filming and it is nice to have that piece of mind knowing you have the option to get this. It does move freely ever so slightly, so it has some play to it if it bumped and won't just knock it off there if hit.
Overall, I highly recommend this microphone for your Sony Vlogging Camera as it gives you much more freedom with your audio over the standard mic. It is well worth the upgrade!

A great camera for many functions!
on November 28, 2022
Posted by: Viabledata
The Sony ZV-1F Vlog camera is the perfect setup for almost all types of content creation. It is small, light, and very easy to hold. The full kit to get the best setup would also include the Sony Vlogger Accessory Kit, and also the Sony Vlogger Shotgun Mircrophone. This review will just be covering the camera.
If you are not getting an accessory kit which includes an SD card, you will need to buy an SD card along with this camera as one is NOT included with just the camera. Out of the box, The camera is pretty easy to set up and you will just need to install the battery and an SD card. When powering on, you will go through the standard setup of date/time, then you will have access to the menu to be able to configure the camera in a whole plethora of options, like setting up bluetooth and wifi connections, Video resolution and recording fps, Image resolution and ISO, etc. It takes some playing around with and studying up on if you are not familiar with cameras in general. It has a 3 inch screen that is very bright and great clarity. It can be flipped around to view yourself in selfie mode you could say, and easy to watch your video as you record a vlog. It has been a perfect setup for me with the mic and accessory kit as I have been able to start content creating with my wife for Youtube. The camera does come with a windsock sits over the built in microphone. It does a pretty good job of keeping wind noise out of videos.
The microphone that is built in is ok for some general use photography and video, but when you are vlogging or content creating, you will want something more directional like the Sony Shotgun Microphone. The regular microphone will still do fine if you are only able to start with just the camera.
The camera itself boasts a 20.1 Megapixel lens with a large amount of digital zoom (44x) but only 2.7x Optical zoom. I would have liked to see more optical zoom but this is a good amount for a non SLR camera It can record 4k HDR Video at 30fps and 1080p Video at 60fps. It can also do slow motion with HFR at 960fps, which is super fun to do. The built in image stabilization does a pretty good job at keeping the camera steady while walking or just moving it around a bit. Auto exposure does a pretty good job at consistent illumination and filling when moving around lighter and darker areas while filming.
Connecting through Wifi lets you transfer photo's and videos off the device and easily manage the others
Overall I am pleasantly surprised with this camera and its functionality and image and video quality. The sound quality from the built in microphone is overall good, but I would recommend upgrading to the Shotgun Microphone. I highly recommend this camera for content creators and vloggers. It's hard to go wrong with this option. It is fun to use, easy, and great quality!

A must have accessory for your Surface Pro
on November 25, 2022
Posted by: Viabledata
The Surface Pro Signature Keyboard is an excellent accessory to the Surface Pro and makes using it a much more enjoyable experience.
This keyboard is relatively straight forward when it comes to use on the Surface Pro. I am using my keyboard with the Surface Pro 9. It uses proprietary connectors to attach to the Surface Pro and holds itself with a magnet so it doesn't just come apart. Once attached to the Surface Pro, it will automatically fold over the stylus pen to keep it secure. The stylus is attached by a magnet as well and actually holds in the pocket pretty well. The pen is battery powered and the stylus pocket charges the pen when not in use and the keyboard is turned on. It is very precise when touching the screen and tracking is quick. The rest of the keyboard essentially is like any other keyboard. The keys are responsive and have a nice press to them. It is very sturdy and well constructed. The touchpad is a standard size and clicks well. Tracking is also accurate on the touchpad.
One of the main things to remember is you will need to push the Fn key and the F1 key to wake the keyboard up and power up the stylus. However, pushing it again does not power off the keyboard and it will stay powered up until you shut off the Surface Pro. I do wish that it would have an off button. When closing the keyboard over the Surface Pro, it turns into a really nice folio case and screen protector. Again it is a solid design and provides great protection.
Overall I highly recommend getting this keyboard for your Surface Pro. With it providing a keyboard, mouse, stylus, and Folio case, it is hard to pass up and makes life much easier using the Surface pro.

Enjoy superior sound and voice quality with these Jabra Elite wireless headphones. Integrated controls let you answer calls, adjust the volume or pause music with the touch of a button, while the included carrying case doubles as a charging station. External ambient noise keeps you aware of your surroundings, while a background noise filter delivers crisp, clear voice calls. With Bluetooth connectivity, these Jabra Elite wireless headphones are easy to pair to a mobile device.

Does they play loud. Most earbuds doesent play very loud. l had Jaybird x3. Good sound bit not so loud

Seems to vary by song, or even device playing them. Some songs for me are soft, then flipping to another song it's so loud it hurts my ears and have to turn down. They can play loud though but varies with the source. It also has an equalizer in the companion app which helps.
