I got this for my wife who is a high school teacher. Her class recently became an all cloud (google cloud) based class and she was bringing chromebooks from her class home. One night she forgot to bring home a chomebook and was so frustrated that our not so old laptop (pc - win10) took forever to finally download and install updates that the time spent on updates and dealing with a slow PC just wore her down. She mentioned how fast the chromebook was and how it was to use. So I decided to take a plunge and get her this chromebook, and i'm so glad I did. She loves it and since her class is all cloud based now, she is able to work efficiently (because this thing boots up in seconds and is ready to go from the get go) and effectively, since her class is a google classroom structure. Not too long ago, these LED TVs (with 3D) were over 2 grand. Now they are much more affordable and the picture quality is amazing. I am replaced an old 720p Plasma and the quality of this new set is through the roof. The set also has built in apps and is 3D (active). This is a bonus as I do have small collection of 3D movies. If you are an Apple user than this is device is a must. You can sync your iTunes, cast movies and music, the apps are fast and if you have cable, then the amount of apps you have access too greatly increases. It's easy to setup and a great buy.
