I have gone through several cheaper vacuums over the past few years trying to save some money. I finally, bit the bullet and paid for a Dyson. Though I was leary in the beginning, I must say, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! This vacuum is worth every penny. I used my old one first and then went over my floors again with the Dyson. I couldn't believe how much more "stuff" came out of my carpet. Wish I had bought this sooner. It really SUCKS! I have 2 dogs and it gets all the hair up. You won't be disappointed. 5 yr warranty, just another bonus.
On a side note, if you have back issues like myself, this is much easier to push!
