Can this work with an existing wifi network? so the laptop will never disconnect from internet and still being able to access the hard drive?
I installed mine on a network I already had installed at my house. I also brought it in to work and backed up my files from work.
Not sure what you mean with your question. Both my home and work have laptops and computers that never disconnected from the wi-fi during installation and use. My drive is now connected directly to my router for whole house backup of pictures, music, and movies.

my dvd player's coaxial not compatible with ma tv. What can I do about it?
What connection does your TV have? You didn't say.
I have seen converters from coaxial cable to the red/white/yellow connectors, but they are getting harder to find.(I've found them in an electronics store called Radio Shack by me)
If you are using HDMI cable, than the unit has an output for HDMI so you just plug it in
I have a nephew with an older TV that only has the red/white/yellow outputs. For him, I just went with the same basic player, just one step lower which was designed for older TVs. No connection converter needed.
