I love the look for the glossy but the first time it was used at Starbucks it got a scratch on it. And if the light hits it you see it badly.
The matte finish on the other hand is amazing. I've had it for a couple of months now and it still looks new! Also, the feeling is a little bit more grippy with the matte than the glossy.
And durability... well, my laptop bag went flying off my front seat when I got into an accident recently. My laptop hit the dash board and the corner of the case broke. But laptop was untouched.
