Considered one of the great lost Doctor Who stories, this 6-part adventure hasn't been seen in over forty years, as the original BBC transmission tapes were destroyed to make room for newer recordings in the archives.
This story is so highly regarded that the BBC commissioned a restoration of sorts. Using surviving film clips, fragment and photographs of the actual production, combined with the original audio soundtrack, this story can now be enjoyed again in animated form.
The flash animation is somewhat limited, but it works just fine. The story is presented in black and white as was the original, but a second disc has the episodes presented in color.
There are loads of extras included, so this Doctor Who release is definitely worth getting.

This film features the first appearance in animation of two major characters: Batwoman and Batwing. A solid story with Warner Brothers usual fine animation.
This movie is rated PG-13, but I wouldn't have any problem with younger viewers watching this.
