First, let me start by saying this soundbar LOOKS like its worth the asking price. Problem is that it sounds like a soundbar of half its cost. Did not feel the atmos sound and there was comparability issues pairing with my LG OLED (why? firmware). I moved on quickly and you should too. Save yourself the hassle and money.

I purchased this from my local store as an open box, so I knew it may or may not work. I tried to use it for a few days and just returned it. The soundbar is loud but surround speakers and atmos effect is just weak. Too expensive for the quality of surround sound being offered. The speakers also had a bad hissing sound. Pass....

Does the digital optical port support Dolby Atmos? I would rather not use ARC if possible
No, there is not enough bandwidth for atmos through optical. ARC was a main reason I returned the unit I bought. It was having issues with my LG OLED. Go figure.
