Alienware and NVidia G-Sync are out of this world

The Alienware - AW2518H 25" LED FHD GSync Monitor - Black is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to gaming and performance!
This monitor does it all by offering minimal bezel and maximum viewing, completely customizable for your viewing preferences, and is sleek and looks amazing; it also offers LED accents on the back of monitor to maximize the gaming experience and style.
I never noticed any display issues at all while watching videos or playing demanding games, the NVidia G-Sync technology components withstood everything I threw at it with plenty of power left to spare.

CONS
- My only complaint is that while the bezel is minimal, the actual viewing area does not fully extend to the bezel and leaves about a 1/8 to 3/16" border around the screen which seems strange for such a high-end monitor and is very noticeable at first. It disappears into the experience however once you start your movie or game.

I highly recommend this monitor and if you are a serious, multi-screen gamer, you will want two or three of these to maximize your gaming experience and to have the best viewing set up anywhere!
If you do not have to have the LED back lit monitors to make your gaming station complete, then you can get the little brother AMD Freesync version monitor. Both are amazing, one will save some cash if you trim the options! I did not notice any difference in viewability or performance between the two models, however.

The Alienware - Elite USB Optical Gaming Mouse - Black/silver... Where to begin? There are very few products out there that can compare to this mouse! Having used literally hundreds of different mouse pointers in my lifetime, both wired and wireless, none have come close to comparing to this one! The 12000 DPI responsiveness is so impressive that I had to turn down the speed of the mouse because I am so used to "forcing" the mouse to go where I want it that I was overshooting my desired items constantly... Never realized how hard we worked using a mouse!?!
The look and design are stellar. The feel and ergonomics are perfect for my hand. This thing is completely customizable to the extreme from physical form to lighting.

A Real Gaming Keyboard for Real Serious Gamers!

The Alienware - Pro Gaming Keyboard USB - Black, silver was something I have looked at as a possible keyboard in my consideration for a serious gaming keyboard for my new gaming system. I have done a bit of research on exactly which keyboard would offer the most features I would want and use while offering the best tactile/mechanical switch experience possible.
Since the mechanical switch keyboards are totally based on personal preference, I know there are many opinions on which is best, however, I have found the I personally love the feel of the Brown switches and was excited to discover that this keyboard was a Brown Switch.
PROS
- Totally customizable for your unique needs both for physical keys and lighting
- Easy setup, just plug and play if you wish
- I loved the scrolling sound control roller on the keyboard, one of my favorite features
- Alienware software is easy to use to help make the changes you want to your customizable keyboard
- The Brown Switches respond perfectly and reduce the strain on the wrists and figures from pounding the keys for quick reaction
- This thing just looks awesome in the dark!
- Totally customizable for your unique needs both for physical keys and lighting
- Easy setup, just plug and play if you wish

I purchased the Aurora with 1080, not cheap, yet it came with the most basic of basic keyboards, yet Alienware has the audacity to sell what should of came with the desktop. I also purchased an Asus ROG gaming desktop system and it came with a far superior keyboard than Alienware's system. I have no doubt this is a good keyboard , but come one MX browns? Brown MX are clunkier than Cherry Red and have a weird tactile feel, look anywhere and you will see people prefer Red for gaming as they are faster, smoother on the stroke and not to mention last longer.

It has an AMD Radeon graphics card with 8GB of dedicated video memory for fast image rendering, and its powerful AMD Ryzen 7 processor and 16GB of DDR4 RAM run multiple programs, games and browsers simultaneously. This Dell Inspiron desktop has a 1TB hard drive for plenty of long-term game storage.

First let me say that I'm not a big gammer. I got this PC to share with my kids but I did want something with powerful enough graphics that WoW and other like games would play well with great looking graphics. What I got is a great PC with excellent WiFi connectivity in a compact tower. This PC is great in every way I expected with the exception of the mouse and keyboard. The mouse and keyboard are fine, they work but they almost seem like disposable utensils; really nice disposables but none the less you get the impression that they were included just to say that they were included. You may want to budget to buy a nicer mouse and keyboard.
You should also be aware that the only video output connections supported are HDMI and Display Port. If you are planning to connect this to an older monitor just make sure it has one of these two ports built-in. Just something to be aware of before you decide to purchase. Also be aware that there are only two slots to install RAM. If you want to upgrade to 16 or 32 GB later you will most likely need to buy two RAM sticks to replace the single 8GB stick the PC comes with.
The internals of this PC are basic with a minimal compliment of fans for cooling. A big advantage of most Dell PCs which carries over to this model is that the cases are well designed and allow for great ventilation so under normal everyday use they should remain cool and quiet. The blue lighting which intentionally bleeds through the vented side panel and partially vented front panel are actually very subtle and not distracting at all if you place the tower directly on your desk. You actually have to look down at the tower to get the full blue light effect because the vents are angled up. The 1TB HDD (not solid state) performed very well and I did not notice any noise from the drive. I was a little worried because I've been using an SSD on my old PC and thought that I might notice some performance drop related to this but boot times and normal use are very snappy.

I am not sure which computer you are reviewing, but your post stated that it was upgradable to 16 or 32 GB. It comes 16 GB out of the box. Did you review the wrong computer? Maybe the little sister 8GB version in error?

I highly recommend this monitor and if you are a serious, multi-screen gamer, you need a couple two or three of these to maximize your gaming experience and to have the best viewing set up anywhere!
If you must have the LED back lit monitors to make your gaming station complete, then you will want to get the upgrade NVidia G-Force monitors as they have the LEDs in the back. I did not notice any difference in viewability or performance between the two models, however.

Packaging, setup, and performance are excellent. The system is very responsive when running games, streaming video, and using office programs. No lags, no long buffering of video, and it runs very quietly - at least as quiet as my prior PC, which was significantly less powerful.
This is basically a gamers PC, with an excellent Radeon RX580 GPU - 8GB onboard in the build that I have. When coupled with the 1 TB drive and the 16 GB of RAM, this is a very solid choice for a PC.
The provided keyboard and mouse are pretty standard, but I am running this along with Alienware peripherals: AW2518HF monitor, AW958 mouse, AW768 keyboard and it is an awesome gaming experience so far.

There is no such thing as too much security when it comes to using the Internet these days but you have to be a pretty hardcore techie, and be willing to make some big sacrifices, if you want the kind of protection the Bitdefender BOX provides
Setup was a bit of a nightmare for me since, like many new devices, this one requires a smartphone app and can only be installed using that app. This is almost always a bad idea for a myriad of reasons and that was the case with the Bitdefender Box. My big issue using a modern Samsung Galaxy 7 phone was that it would not connect with to the internet via the box on wi-fi, the first step in the process. You cannot do anything else until that happens. Through a lot of trial and error, I finally forced a connection by going into airplane mode to cut off cell service and and then turning wi-fi back on.
Then comes the comes the next hurdle. If you want to keep using your existing wireless router (I did because it is one of the best I have ever owned) you have force it out of the normal standalone mode and into a bridge mode since all internet traffic must go through the BOX first to provide the security. The settings to do this were buried deep in an Admin menu and came with lots of warnings about how it will essentially make it impossible to use the admin software ever again to control your wireless router. At least without a reset back to standalone mode. Ugh.
A lot of sacrifices here for security. But I took a deep breath and pulled the trigger. Once that was done, the BOX finally completed its setup and I got the coveted glowing blue circle on the front of the BOX which signifies setup was successful. It found all my connected devices and informed me they were protected. Well except for my smartphone. It wanted me to install Bitdefender protection software of course.
Nw for the really bad news. With the BOX in place, I was horrified to discover my super fast 120+mbit speed dropped like a rock. Usually to the 50 to 70mb range. Even with a wired (not wi-fi) connection. Not at all happy about that, although in actual use, I did not see a huge difference. Some apps on my smart TV were slower to come up and shows often played in blurry standard def for 30 or seconds or so while the speed finally got up to HD levels.
For what its worth, you can ditch your wireless router and just use the Box to handle those chores. But the BOX is not designed to be top notch wireless router so this was not a good option for me.
In the end, you have to REALLY be concerned about security to go with the Bitdefender BOX. The average consumer would not have a clue how to set it up (I'm pretty tech savvy and struggled with it)
Combine that with the dramatic reduction in internet speed it imposes and the minuses quickly outweigh the pluses.

User Error...

If you lost half of your speed or bandwidth, then you set it up wrong.
I have a very similar setup and speed as you stated and lost nothing when I set it up correctly. Still blazing fast and running within a 1-2% +/- variance as I was before installing.
I suggest considering looking at your installation method, that may be your issue, not the unit itself.

This keyboard can be used with any computer, but not all the functions may work if your Desktop does not support the features. Otherwise, it is still just a keyboard for data input and should work fine.
