CSI was best when Grissom was on it, and season one proves it. The plots and acting are excellent.
This season has weak extras and a poor menu system for the DVD itself, and the video quality is sometimes a bit VHS, but remember this series was shot back in the bad old days of 4:3 TV and VHS.

Let's face it. These movies are silly and a bit stupid. They're also hilarious, partially because absolutely no attempt is made to take the concept seriously.
If you love the 70s slapstick parody these are ideal movies and for a nice, cheap price too.

Got this on sale for under 90 dollars as a replacement for my old Honda CRV stock stereo. Good sound (even with my old, beat up speakers) and lots of customizing, almost as much as a home theater receiver. Plays lots of formats, which is nice if you don't like heavily-compressed mp3s. And do you like radio presets? 18 FM and 12 AM enough?
The bad? It's not very intuitive. I'm good with A/V stuff and I had to keep checking the manual to figure out some of the stuff. Also, it has a tendency to reset the EQ settings on its own for some reason.
Still, for a low price you get good sound, lots of features and it has pre-outs for amps and subs. Hard to beat.

This season continues the usual, with a couple more side characters added here and there. It's more of the same, with a tiny bit of Red John progress. If you like The Mentalist, you'll keep right on liking it.
