Great noise cancelling microphone

If you are on the receiving end of a phone call with me while using this bluetooth earpiece, then you are on the better end. It cancels out all background noise, and the recipient of my phone calls have commented on how clear I sound, even with lots of wind or road noise while driving.
Now for the cons: the speaker is very weak. I have to push the earpiece hard into my ear to hear the person talking to me. This sort of negates the hands free phone calls while driving. If I had known this, it would have been a deal breaker. I am still thinking about returning it. The other negative is how uncomfortable the ear clips are. I tried all sizes, and the ear wings it came with. They all seem to be too small, and I do not have big ears. As a matter of fact, my ears are pretty darn average in size. After 5 minutes, they hurt. A lot. And the last negative comment I have is with the settings. It gives you the option to only use the earpiece for phone calls, or for media play and phone calls. I only want it for phone calls, so I selected phone calls only mode. Well, when I am driving, and I use Google Maps, everything works the way it should when Google Maps talks to you. Until you are on a phone call. For some reason, when talking on a phone call, the Google Maps voice is suddenly in your earpiece. Loudly. That is the one time when the speaker works loud. When it is not supposed to! Oh, and it only has a 4 hour battery life.

Best Buy said I had to buy this kit if they were going to install it, so I said no problem. When the installer showed up, he took the exact same box out of his truck and used his kit to install it. Now I have this unopened box sitting in the back seat of my car until I bring it back to Best Buy for a refund.

I bought a dishwasher on Dec 28, scheduled the delivery and installation for Dec 31. No call/no show. I called and had it rescheduled for Jan 5. No call/no show. I called again and they said it could not be delivered and installed on the same day. Dishwasher was delivered on Jan 12, scheduled to be installed on Jan 13. No call/no show. 3rd strike. I called again, had installation scheduled for Jan 19. Yes, dishwasher sat in the middle of my kitchen. Jan 19, installer finally shows up. Dishwasher is missing a support bracket, cannot be installed.

Others are envious of my phone now

I really do love this mod. It truly enhances the phone when listening to music or watching a video. Putting the stand on the speaker was just brilliant. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of 2 things:
1. The bass is mediocre. For a speaker this size, it does alright. I also have a JBL Flip 2 bluetooth speaker, and the bass is much more predominant, so my expectations were maybe just a little too high.
2. This speaker is best used indoors. The volume does not turn up high enough for my taste when listening to music. Of course, I am not encouraging you to be "that guy" who cranks up his music when around others in a public area. But when you are home alone and want to listen to some tunes, this speaker will do just fine in your house.

Phone of the future

I went to a Verizon store to upgrade my son's phone since he broke it, and we found this phone. I personally like the appeal of the diversity of the mods, so we went ahead and made the purchase. We also got the extra battery mod, which has proven to be very useful.
Well, I couldn't take my son having a better phone than me. I happen to run across a Best Buy ad for the same phone, but a much better deal, so off I went. I got the JBL speaker mod for free, along with a $200 Best Buy gift card. Now I wish we had gone to Best Buy first.
Overall, this is a great phone, great camera. Very sleek and stylish. Kind of slippery when I'm holding it. This can be resolved if I put it in a case, but I really do not like phone cases because they make it too bulky. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because the battery drains a little too quickly. I have to keep the display down to about 30% to keep the phone charged all day. I guess that's why getting the extra battery life mod is a good idea. Since my son and I both have the same phone, we can swap our mods whenever needed.

The best clearance bargain I have found lately

Wow, did I luck out. I walked into my local Best Buy to purchase a DVD for my son when I came across this on a clearance display. Apparently this is last year's display model, with a fantastic markdown price. I couldn't resist. The only issue with buying clearance display models is there is no manual and no mounting bracket. I had to order directly from Samsung, so I could not mount it until about a week later. But it works great, I absolutely love it!
