This release of "10 Cloverfield Lane" got a decent Steelbook treatment, one of which, surprising seems like effort was placed in to the design of the Steelbook itself.
Unlike most "lazier" Steelbook releases, this Steelbook did not use the typical poster art for the film, and instead decided to use their 3 distinctive character posters to add a visual flair that is otherwise absent from the standard BluRay release.
The film itself is very well directed- however predictable and clichéd. While I appreciate the franchise runners allowing new creative and inventive SciFi ideas fly under the banner of an established name- the film itself is drastically underwhelming, and seems to compromise itself in the last 15 minutes of the film.
The film itself was okay- but if you're going to get it regardless of quality- I would recommend the Steelbook.

Dan Mumford was the perfect choice...

As a film enthusiast- I was very excited for the release of Ghostbusters in a new Steelbook package. The previous release of this film in Steelbook form, was a very uninspired release of just the standard logo of the franchise... And while the film itself is a beautiful accomplishment and work of collaboration between many comedians at the height of their careers- an uninspired Steelbook is a deal-breaker.
That being said- upon hearing that this new Steelbook release was to receive artwork exclusively crafted by Dan Mumford- I was very excited to see what was to come. It is safe to say, that I was not disappointed. This new release of this classic has a gorgeous Art Deco appropriate for the creative style and color of the film itself. The promotional photos also do not do this release Justice, as the glossy sheen of the green and blue "pop" in the most incredible ways...
If you're a Steelbook collector- then this is the perfect release to add a splash of color and creativity to your collection.

Great Steelbook- but nothing fancy...

A great purchase for any Steelbook Collector, and especially for any Tarantino fan!
The color scheme is a bit cliched, with the over-powering red being used on (quite frankly) FAAAAAR to many steelbook releases, however, for this particular film, its very fitting.
There is no embossing or raised lettering on this Steelbook- making it a little less than truly impressive, but over all- a still worthwhile purchase that I can easily recommend to any film fan.

Tasteful Steelbook Release

Marvel movies- for the most part are... par. They're not great- they're (usually) not bad... they're average. Likewise, a lot of Marvel Steelbook releases are just as average- with them only using the poster art as the actual steelbook cover.
Antman- the film- was a remarkably well done remake of the first Iron Man, and, with its' unique humor and playfulness of style- manages to be one of the more memorable Marvel Movies. Such uniqueness is reflected in this steelbook release, as the PymTech Hard-drive Deco manages to give the product a sense of practicality, and the scaled version of Antman coming out of the bullet-hole in the hard drive represent such stylish on-screen portrayal in the actual film. The "gag" continues inside the steelbook where it is shown that the circuitry of the would-be hard drive is the particular decorum of the interior case- with ants crawling all over and destroying the fragile technology.
This is a Steelbook release of which I would absolutely recommend this Steelbook, whether you are an avid Marvel fan, or an avid Steelbook collector- this is a very unique and tasteful rendition of a Steelbook release form a company of which barely ventures in to such unique territory- and that is worth celebrating.

Physical Media Leaves more to be desired

Deadpool- the film 11 years in the making.
I myself am a proprietor of physical media- and I genuinely enjoy the tactility of owning a film in some form of tangible state. Now- while the physicality of the BluRay presentation isn't quite up to par with the uniqueness that is present in the film, the largest complaint of which I have is the placement of the price sticker on the slipcover of the disc itself.
Even in being very delicate- the texturing of the slipcover tore when trying to remove the "BestBuy Price Tag". Why the tag was placed where it was on such a delicate Slipcover- I do not know- but said tear made me throw away the now ripped slip cover.
The Bluray itself is fine- it's par for the course of what to expect with a BluRay release, standard features, High Definition film- but if you're going to own this movie, the physicality is nothing special. If it's more convenient- maybe just get the Digital Download- but if you- like me, are a fan of physical media- you'll probably end up hunting down the steelbook copy anyways.
