Inferior packaging and many poor transfers

I was excited to see that this item was going to be released at long last. I had purchased all the individual seasons as soon as each became available, but seasons 6 & 7 were never released on DVD until this set became available. Now that I have this item in-hand, I must say I'm very disappointed. Many people in various reviews have already mentioned how weak and susceptible to damage the packing is, but what I was not prepared for was how awful the video quality would be for the final two seasons.
Seasons 1-5 appear to be the same transfers as the previous releases, which is a good thing, but seasons 6 & 7 were mastered with an incorrectly blended frame rate at 29.97 fps. While previous releases were encoded at 29.97-interlaced, which could be detelecine'd back to 23.98 fps easily without noticeable quality degradation, more than half of the episodes in seasons 6 & 7 were mastered with noticeable frame blending as well as interlacing, making it impossible to view the images with clarity, even after going through a detelecine process. As a viewer with an eye for quality, I find this completely unacceptable, and I'm frankly surprised that Mill Creek allowed this to pass even the most relaxed of quality assurance inspections (assuming they have such a thing, which it's beginning to seem they may not).
Due to the poor video quality and the cheap packaging, I am forced to give this set a fairly low rating. The 2 stars earned are strictly for seasons 1-5, which were already available, and not produced by Mill Creek.

The popular sitcom's ninth and final season transpires almost entirely during the wedding weekend of Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) and Robin (Cobie Smulders). The series moves to Long Island as the happy couple and married friends Marshall (Jason Segel) and Lily (Allyson Hannigan) and the ever-unlucky at love Ted (Josh Radnor) prep for the big event. The two-day gathering is rife with plenty of familial shenanigans and escapades as the soon-to-be-marrieds deal with problems that include Robin's disagreement with Barney's mother and brother, and Robin and Barney's holy row with the minister who is to officiate the ceremony. On the day of the nuptials, she and the gang contend with a massively hungover groom-to-be and try to concoct one of his---wait for it---legendary Stinson Hangover Fixer Elixirs. The highlight of the season is the addition of the young woman (Cristin Milioti, who was introduced in the Season 8 finale) who would become Ted's bride and the mother of his son and daughter. In the series finale, Ted tells his children the conclusion to the tale of how he and their mother finally became a couple, and the episode also offers details of what the future held for Barney, Robin, Marshall and Lily.

Even the worst season of a great show is good…

I will admit that this was the weakest season of the series, and the finale was definitely not what I had hoped for, but having said that: I still think that the weakest season of How I Met Your Mother can stand up to most of the other garbage you could be watching any day. There is an alternate ending for folks like me who didn't particularly enjoy the original aired finale; there are other fun features, like outtakes. If you're a fan of this show, then it goes without saying that you ought to pick up this set.

My wife and I are parents of toddlers and could completely relate to the older couple in this film. (It's clear that there's a generation gap, and we've moved to the older side!) If you enjoyed the trailer for this movie, you'll probably enjoy the actual film - it's a fair representation of what you can expect, but it doesn't spoil all the best jokes.

Great case for a parent of toddlers

I bought my wife the iPhone 6 on the day of release and picked up this case along with it. I'm super glad I did! We have a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old who like to be "helpful" by carrying mommy her phone any time it vibrates (even though we haven't asked them to). We have hard wood and tile floors, and the phone has been dropped a good number of times but doesn't have a single scratch on it. The case is also slim enough to easily allow for sliding the phone into and out of one's pocket without hassle.

Great videos; inconsistent quality

I am a huge fan of "Weird Al" Yankovic, and his videos rarely, if ever, disappoint. Not every video here is a favorite, but the overall content of this disc is fantastic, and the fact that it contains the video for "White & Nerdy" is a huge selling point for me.
So, here's the bad news: Not all of these videos were actually produced in high definition, so some have been upscaled, causing certain videos to look less clear than others.
I've done my best to determine which videos were native to the 1080p format, which were upscaled from 720p, and which ones were just plain 480p standard definition. (It was not difficult to figure out, honestly.) Here's the result of my inspection:
The following videos were produced in 1080p HD, and look absolutely perfect on this release:

…which leaves just one video - "Do I Creep You Out"… This video was clearly not produced in high definition and looks absolutely terrible as a result of the upscaling from 480p. To make matters worse the video was de-interlaced (rather than de-telecine'd) before being upscaled. And yet, sadly, it's still the best quality version of the video I've found. (The iTunes and YouTube versions are both lower than 480p resolution, so they are of even lower quality than the source material for this upscaled release.)
In all honesty, I would have preferred that the folks in charge of mastering this blu-ray had simply put each video on the disc in its native resolution (not to mention, frame rate) and left the upscaling to the blu-ray players themselves. This would have provided the best experience for the viewer, and it would have likely saved production time/cost. For this reason alone, I was only able to give this product 3 out of 5 stars. Still, I would recommend this product to any true "Weird Al" fan.

What's not so great: Some videos have been upscaled, and are not truly 1080p HD.

Classic film masterfully restored

The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh was a favorite of mine as a child, so I have owned it on VHS, DVD, and now Blu-ray... and the HD transfer is, in my opinion, perfect. I honestly couldn't be more pleased with both the audio and the video transfer. It is important to note that the aspect ratio of the Blu-Ray is different from that of the DVD, which I would normally have some mixed feelings about, but I honestly have no complaints. In fact, I prefer the 16:9 for a number of reasons that all amount to personal preference...Still, the colors, sharpness and all-around vibrance of this release is what makes it worth picking up. The HD master breathes new life into this good old Disney Classic.
