Daniel Craig is the only Bond cast into this role who looks and acts like all the crazy people I know who actually do this for a living. While real life inspiration(s) for the fictional Bond may have been more "gentlemanly" than maniac, I think the current incarnation of Craig as Bond the bloody action hero rather than Bond the teflon socialite makes the movies much more entertaining and, albeit a little bit, more believable. Even a little bit more believable helps counter the "willful suspension of disbelief" required to enjoy fiction. I am not as concerned about the gender and race of the next Bond as I am about whether the new persona will be just as crazy.

We got real focused on the ultra-quietness of this unit...and it really, really is super quiet when washing (fill and drain just as loud as any other). I also loved the "cabinet-style" rack runners, which were the highest quality and strength of any we had seen. But just like any time you focus on one or two features, the others may suffer. While it does have heated dry (unlike the comparable Bosch), it is too short and not hot enough, so it never dries completely, especially plastic. The cycles are too long (needed to clean effectively due to the wimpy wash power (to keep the noise low). The third rack is not usable with regular utensils because it lacks the long flexible fingers to hold them in place like the Bosch. This unit has short, hard, stubby tangs that are too small to hold anything in place. With the middle rack in the lowered position, we can't get our dinner plates in the lower rack. With the middle rack in the upper position, we can't get tall glasses in it. The end-of-cycle signal is too quiet to be of any use. The "barbell grade" stainless steel handle looks totally out of place and inappropriate for a kitchen; belongs in a gym.
