My use for the GoPro is almost entirely hiking and climbing - so the headgear unit wasn't for me. It works just fine but in - at home - trial it wasn't the best option. I went with a clip that attaches to the shoulder strap on my pack and it gives a more stable and equally appropriate recording angle (actually a more natural perspective). The ONLY reason I would not recommend this to a friend - is because it wasn't the right fit for me. The product functioned fine, just not for the purposes I need.

From my research - and having this model for a couple of months THIS is the best value of any of the GoPro models (Hero 4 Silver). It does everything you need and more - pretty good in variable lighting - just wish the batteries lasted a LOT longer (by hey, the are only $20 for a GoPro battery!!!)

The cover is slim but incredibly sound and protective and the front cover folds back perfectly flat so you can put it on a desk or table without being at lop sided - PLUS the front cover turns the screen on when you open the cover and off automatically when you close it - just like your refrigerator - saves time, battery and its COOL! Like with all batteries - it is folly to offer a guess as to duration.
Temp, lighting, %on time etc ~ all affect battery life.
