My wife and I had our eyes on this stove for about a year just checking prices. It retailed at about $1600 to $1700, but we got it on sale for about $1100. I couldn't pass it up at that price. First of all, the stove looks incredible. The touchscreen on the front is user friendly and it DOES lock (that was important for us because or little one loves hearing things beep). The convection cooking is incredibly fast, and it makes awesome crunchy french fries. It does preheat a little slower than we expected, but that's a small nit picky thing. We haven't tried cooking a lot of things yet, but we did have it for our family Thanksgiving get together and had several casseroles in there at the same time. It cooked evenly and quickly. It does have a conventional setting for baking too if you prefer that for casseroles or things like that. There are only two things that are somewhat negative so far. The cooktop shows any smudge or dust on it. That being said, if you buy the stove top polish, it will make it look very glossy and brand new (I just mentioned the smudges in case someone has a little one rubbing the top of the stove...the smudges will show and be obvious). And the other negative is that the knobs to turn on the burners can be turned on without knowing it. If you lean on them, they can turn on. It happened to us...my wife leaned on it, it turned on, and we happened to have a plastic bag from hamburger buns on the stovetop. We noticed it melting quickly and turned the burner off and it hasn't happened since because we are conscientious of it. On a side note, the melted plastic came off fairly easily with a plastic spatula and my fingernail (once the burner cooled, obviously). Anyway, I tried to cover some of the things I wanted to know when purchasing this. Hope it helps someone. It is an awesome stove though, and we are very pleased with the purchase so far (we've had it about a month).
