very odd but it's probably stolen. i once bought moto hint wireless bluetooth headset and when product came in mail, the charging case and cable was there but it was missing the actual bluetooth item and it was pain in the @$$ to return the item as i was missing a piece that i never got it in the first place.

yes and no. if you have x86 version of office 2007 installed, there are some programs that are only available on older office that are not part of office 365.
however for mainly word/excel/outlook/access/publisher/powerpoint, you can't have 2 versions of office installed.

After the year is up, do I have to renew or will the program continue to work?
it will not work after it expires. some people try to back date your computer's date and leaving it unplugged/disconnected from internet to fool the program but program periodically checks for license validation online and will stop working if you are not connected online.
