Brings back good memories

I was excited by the thought of this unit and that I'd also able to play my old cassettes. When the unit arrived, the "expert" (read 18 year old) took over telling me I'm too old (I'm 59) to know how to set it up. So, I sat back to watch the show and I was greatly entertained when the child finally decided that perhaps reading the instructions may help. The child found the setup a bit weird and thought the instructions could be more detailed but if you are old enough to have had cassettes the first time around, you shouldn't have problems.
We both agree that the sound is nice, very clear and open, it doesn't muffle anything. Bass is very good. It connects to Bluetooth very well and played my old cassettes with no problems. Of course, the funniest part was seeing the kid's face and knowing they were biting their tongue about the kind of music I used to listen to!

Microphone a disappointment

I had the expert in my house, the teenager, try these headphones for a realistic review as I think she lives with headphones permanently attached now. The first thing she said was that she thought we may have gotten a faulty set but if not, this is what she thought of them. "The sound quality is decent if you are watching videos or music. If you are talking to people, you cannot hear them that well. The microphone is a disappointment. If the microphone is more than an inch from the mouth, people cannot hear the speaker. Even up close, the listeners reported having trouble hearing what was said, not to mention it was a bit garbled.
The headphones also disconnect very quickly so they have to keep being turned off and on to work. Overall, I’m very disappointed in these headphones."

Best of Both Worlds

We have two sides in our house when it comes to making coffee, the side that wants a pot of coffee and the side that wants a single cup from a machine that has a reservoir. Because of this, we have had two machines sitting on the kitchen counter.
The Ninja addresses both sides and it is really the best of both worlds. I like that there is a reservoir so I don't have to worry about exact measurements when I just want my one cup of water for tea or hot chocolate. At the same time, the reservoir easily makes a pot and is also very easy to fill back up. It's eco-friendly as you don't need to get filters nor does it use K-cups so that waste is eliminated. It is more compact than other brewers so it takes less counter space. There is the ability to choose how strong you would like your coffee and my teen is in raptures about being able to have iced coffee right from the Ninja. It comes with the pot but it can also accommodate travel mugs and you can program the size you want.
I haven't gotten into all that this machine can do or the items, such as the measuring implement that comes with it, but my teen loves the feature where she can set the coffee to brew at a certain time. While she doesn't use it that much now as she is drinking iced coffee, she's looking forward to the Autumn when she'll have her coffee waiting for her as she runs off to school.

Easy to put together, cleans well

This cleaner was quite easy to put together. We did have a bit of a problem with the handle as the angle was wrong at first but then it snapped right in. I misunderstood when I read the description that it could also be used in dry mode. I thought it was the whole machine but found it was just the upholstery attachment. That attachment works great. As my cat loves to hang out on top of the loveseats by the windows, I no longer have to throw a beach towel over the chair when company shows up. I just use my Bissell.
The videos that Bissell has are very good - simple and informative. I would suggest though that it would be helpful to have them ordered in more of a step 1, 2, 3 way. Now it seems rather random.
All that said, my carpets haven't looked this good since I bought them. The Express feature gets the carpet clean without having to wait a day for the carpet to dry. I do it before I retire and the carpet is dry in the morning. Fortunately I haven't had to use the stain feature yet.

Difficult to Start but Good Finish

This set-up was a bit above my pay grade. So, I ended up having to call in someone who was very tech savvy to help. Once he explained the steps to me in the way a 56 year old can understand (if I had a 6 year old around I probably wouldn't have had a problem), it was much easier. I think a lot of new tech manuals should take into account people who did not grow up with technical jargon and short-cut language. Anyhoo, the next problem we had was not with the unit but my house. Think the "Burrow" and you have it. A house made of different materials in an odd configuration. Arthur probably had more plugs than I have outlets. So, next we had to find a "hot spot" which had an outlet. We finally found it. It did look funny watching my tech savvy friend walking around looking for the signal.
I now have wifi all through my house and also my back patio so the kids are happy, I'm happy and also amazed. Given how many dead spots there were in my house, shows the strength of the signal. My tech savvy friend likes this better than his so he's gone to get his own.

It's small so it doesn't take up much room. It does what it is meant to, it charges the speaker. The charge seems fast and the speaker appears fully charged. I personally like that it doesn't take up a lot of room as we have enough junk hanging around the house.

I had my teenager put this through its paces as I thought this was perfect for the summer when people don't stay put but move around. This way, the music could continue. The sound is very good, but with the brand that is to be expected. The bass could be better but it is still okay but then my teen looooves bass so that needs to be considered. It projects enough that inside the house the music could be heard in all rooms, both upstairs and down. The reason for the 4 stars rather than 5 is the disappointment as to the range when we were outside. If the speaker was on the front porch, it would cut out if my teen was a bit over half way down the side of our house. We tried both sides to see if there was some kind of interference but it cut out at approximately the same distance. Next we tried walking to the front of our property which is a bit further than the length of the house (about 40 feet) and, yep, cut out again.
So, we like the speaker for inside and as long as we stay in the general vicinity, it is a great addition to our outdoor activities.

Mother Tested, Teenager Approved

Given that my review would have consisted of, "These work great," I asked my teenager to try these out and let me know what they thought. Half an hour later and praises could be heard, two days later and what I believe is a realistic review emerged.
These are very comfortable and easy to adjust. The sound quality is fantastic though the bass effect could be a bit better but it is still very good. As my mom found out, the noise canceling works well but only when you are actually using the headphones and not when you want to block out your teenager's ramblings. I do like that you can control whether you want the bass effect and/or noise canceling on. You can control the volume on the headphone itself and there is pause, play and skip functions on the headphones themselves. The earpieces turn so you can basically turn them into mini-speakers when you wear them around your neck.

It works but can be so much better

This product does what it says. It has 10 different fan sounds and 10 levels of white noise that sounds like blowing air at different pitches. Now, one of the reasons I tried this product was help mask the sound of drumming by my percussionist teen but how an industrial fan would sound better than that is beyond me. I found the fan sounds harsh no matter the volume level. I much preferred the white noise as long as it wasn't too high pitched. While it didn't eliminate loud noises, it did cover low level and background noise quite well. I easily went to sleep with it taking away all those night time noises that just seem to make me alert every time I'm almost asleep. I liked that you can set it for 60 minutes so that it isn't running all night.
To give equal opportunity, my teen tried it as well and found the white noise harsh and preferred the sound of the fans. So, this is definitely a personal preference situation. It works as advertised and if you are looking for something that will mask background noise, this works fine as long as it is set up close enough as it doesn't help if it is behind a closed door. (Yes, we did check that!)
All that said, I think it could be so much more and hope the company rethinks their choices of sounds. Rather than an industrial fan, the sound of a cat purring would do just as well but have the added effect of being uplifting. I can think of so many sounds like that which would be must better than different fans or high pitched white noise yet still get the job done.

Great addition to my Garmin

I like that I don't have to try to attach my Garmin to the windscreen. This allows me to keep my GPS on my dashboard without worrying about it falling off. It is also easy to put up and take down and no one has to know there is a GPS in the car.
A couple of friends were so impressed, we had to stop at Best Buy so they could get one as well.

I used this with speakers where I controlled the volume. It was the volume on this that determined how loud the music sounded.

Can I install this on 2 of my computers or is it licensed for only one install?
My understanding is that you can install this on a primary and secondary computer - such as a a laptop and desktop when you use both. However, the program cannot be run on both devices at the same time.
