We use these flexible tripods for many difficult mounting situations at different race tracks that we record at. I didn't see any instructions but figured out that the release button has a grey ring around the tripod head that must be turned in the right direction to release the camera but locks it in well when turned into the lock position.

I have used Sony, GoPro and Ion and feel you can't go wrong with any of them. I prefer the Sony because the colors are more vibrant and the steady shot feature works great in the race cars that we use these in. I like the Sony menu much better as well since it is easy to figure out while the GoPro is easy once you learn what the codes mean. We have four of these for our internet racing show and plan to buy more.

Does the camcorder create multiple files for longer videos?
I am looking at a camcorder that I can use to record at least an hour at a time. I was just wondering if the camcorder breaks a video down into multiple files if the video is longer? I know some camcorders I've used in the past make extra files if the video is longer than 20 minutes. Thanks!
Yes all Sony Action Cams do create multiple files for longer videos and I have found this to be true with GoPro and Ion cams as well.
