Roger must've have gritted his teeth recording some of these songs. He's PO'd about the state of the world. And doesn't like "45" and boy does it show. Great record!!!
You get the punk and their Irish folk inspired songs. I'm not sure how to describe the sound exactly...I guess it's matured. Like a fine wine. Dave does not do his banshee wail hardly at all. Which is fine by me. They also have a new drummer. No explanation of what happened to George.
Their first EP showed this guys could be a power house. And PoR deliver on this first album. It's got more Chuck D. which they were lacking on their first tour. This supergroup is better than RaM!
My only complaint about the latest FF album is the production. It's so muddy that you can barely hear the bass. It reminds me of production on '60s vinyl. I assume they did this on purpose. But please guys, don't do it again! It makes the album less enjoyable and there is some really good stuff here!
