Well, it works as advertises. I bought this for my Nintendo Switch and absolutely no problems. I prefer Sandisk brand if for no other reason than you can frequently find them on sale.

Relatively easy to install, easy to use

I had a MyQ garage door opener in my previous house and I loved it. I wanted to convert my new house (with old motor) to be a "smart garage." The benefits are a no brainer, I set a schedule for my garage to close at a certain time every morning and night so in case someone left it open, it's closed. You can literally check whether your door is open anywhere you have internet connection on your phone. Those benefits, were present in my older house (with new MyQ motor) and I was able to obtain with my newer house (with old non-smart motor).
The bad part, at least for me, is the lack of any Google Home integration. Now, truth be told, you never really need it. I mean when will you be inside your house and need to open the garage? You generally open the door when you walk into the garage. And when you do need to open it (when you're outside, say you went on a walk) your Google Home isn't there. But I like all of my smart home devices to be integrated into as few apps as possible. I now have a another app (Google Home, Arlo, Linksys WiFi, Nest, Chamberlain, etc.) But again, this is by no means a deal breaker, you won't find yourself (I wouldn't think) using the app all that often, but it is just too convenient when you need it. And $100 is nice piece of mind.
Now, onto setup. It's pretty easy. Although I will say that the instructions leave much to be desired. They're not wrong, but they don't explain to you how the device works (i.e. how the hub connects to your "dumb" garage door motor). Ends up, the small controller that attaches to the door sends old school garage door codes (i.e. it's another garage door opener) and that connects to your hub and the hub connects to your WiFi network.
Setting up on iPhone was a pain, you have to connect to the hub's WiFi, go to the browser, type in a URL, type in WiFi connection, download app, and then open app. I could not, for the life of me, get the app to recognize the hub. Finally I entered the serial number which was on the box. It wasn't hard, don't get me wrong, but it just seemed more difficult than it needed to be and if the instructions actually had some descriptions in it (other than download the app and follow the instructions) it would have been more straightforward.
All in all, I recommend this unversal device. I actually really recommend a new motor with MyQ built in (because I do worry about errors in the app telling me garage door open when it's not and vice a versa, my worries are in part because I don't know how the MyQ devices talk to each other) but that's a lot more expensive. This is a cheap way to get make your home a smart one.
But note that you need an additional purchase to make this Apple Homekit compatible! I don't use it or need it, but wanted to put that out there for your Apple folks.

Great features, but pricey
on October 18, 2017
Posted by: callmeageeth
from Louisville, KY
I've always wanted to try a good electric razor. I got tired of buying foam and razors regularly. But what's always been a barrier is the price of the electric shaver and the cost of replacement shaving heads. This Philips razor is a bit pricey, but I think that if you know you want an electric shaver or you just want to upgrade, this is a good value.
If you've never used an electric shaver before, I'd be a bit weary about jumping right in with something this pricey, because you may not like it. The instruction manual tells you that you should use it for 3 weeks before your skin will get used to it, but that's a long time to wait with uncomfortable skin. For me, I've been using it for about a week now and my skin feels ok (although I did have an ingrown hair show up after 1st use).
Keep in mind I'm writing this as a person who hasn't used an electric shaver in years.
I liked the cleaning/charging station that comes with this shaver, but it's HUGE. It comes with one package of cleaning solution and it's simple to use. NOTE: like virtually every single Phillips consumer electronic device, the instruction book lacks good instructions on how to use it. But it's easy enough, you push the top of the base down and it raises up, giving you clearance to put your shaver in upside down and with the head alignment, there's only one way to do it, and then you push it back down and the top of the base attaches with a satisfying click. After you shave, you can clean the head of the shaver and it works great! After you shave, there will be hairs in the shave head and after you clean it through the clean cycle, bam they're all cleaned up. That's a nice feature, but I'm hesitant to use it every single time I shave because I don't know how long the cleaning solution lasts or how much replacements costs (i.e. see my comment on terrible instructions above).
It also comes with a nice travel case, which I think is a huge benefit. It comes with a trimmer that snaps on to the shaver so you can trim your sideburns. It requires you to pull shaver off the head. You don't screw anything, just pull straight off. But I gotta be honest, I couldn't always get it to snap in and out. Not a big deal, but it's something to deal with that can be a minor annoyance.
The performance is pretty good...for an electric shaver. You cannot beat the smooth silkiness after shaving with a razor. But this is pretty good. There's going to be a little "roughness" (comparatively speaking) but I found myself getting my shave done quicker in the morning. The first time I was a bit slow, but after the first time, I figured out how to use the shaver on my face and get it and get out. For me personally, I liked the ability to shave quickly. I take this bad boy in the shower, because it's waterproof, and shave while I'm in the shower. It's not earth shattering by any stretch, but it does at least feel like I'm saving some time in my morning routine.
If you haven't jumped into an electric shaver before and are thinking about, I would caution about spending this much money to jump in as using one versus a traditional razor is a big change. But if you already use an electric shaver or absolutely know you want one, I think this is the best one out there. Just make sure you have plenty of counter space AND an additional outlet to account for the size of the base cleaning station.

Good at what it does, but unnecessary
on October 16, 2017

Like most modern niche appliances that are cool and good at what they do but are ultimately rendered duplicative, the Philips chopper is hard to justify using.
Don't get me wrong, this chopper is good. Almost fun to use. And clean up is a breeze (keeping the food separated from the motor base was great design choice). But when I need it, I ask myself, do I want to go through the effort of getting it out of the cabinet, plugging it in, cleaning it up and putting it back? Or just continue using the knife in my hand? After using the first couple of times, I don't pull it out of the cabinet anymore as it's too much work.
It has a smart design that makes it easy to use. For instance, there's no buttons. You push on the top of the device and it works (the motor is on top). The basket is a nice feature because it seems to create uniform pieces. The blades chop up the onions and then when they get to be just the right size (i.e. small enough to fit through the whole in the basket) they fall into the bottom of the device. As I mentioned, it's easy to clean and take a part.
What's not easy to use/read, are the instructions. Phillips continues to lead the market (with all of its consumer electronics) in creating difficult to understand instruction manuals. The pictograms are difficult to interpret and the manual is difficult to navigate. For example, it says one blade is best for dicing onions...well which one?? I used the blade that doesn't require the pretty purple basket but couldn't get anything to chop, the large pieces of onion kept getting stuck to the side. Luckily, this device is pretty simple to use, so the terrible instructions manual get a pass. Even if you don't open the instructions manual, most people can spend 3 minutes figuring out how to use it (NOTE there's no power button!) as there are only 5 pieces including 2 blades.
If you know you want a chopper, then this is a great one to buy. If you are thinking you'll make your life easier, ask yourself whether or not you'll want this on your counter top and if the answer's no, then do you want to get it out every time you need it. At the end of the day, I find it more trouble than it's worth.

Great sound, handsome speaker
on October 16, 2017
Posted by: callmeageeth
from Louisville, KY
This speaker blew me away. It is probably one of best looking speakers I've seen. It looks great on your bookshelf. It looks elegant and refined, unlike most speakers that look "sporty." But, that elegance (at least in my opinion) means I won't be taking this out anywhere rugged. Maybe on a picnic, and while this sounds fantastic, I think it's main selling point is its design.
Sound...
Is fantastic. It has a rich satisfying sound, which brought back memories of the original Bose Wave Radio. It is amazing that this small of a box can blast such deep satisfying and resounding bass, while maintaining crystal clear clarity. The sound truly is something to behold. And it is plenty loud with no distortion. I played classical music, Disney movie music, podcasts and oldies and they all sounded great. The quality is truly remarkable.
A few good things...
Obviously the sound and the looks, but one of the first things I've ever seen is a replaceable battery. Obviously this is new and I've had no reason to change the battery but it gives me comfort. It has a USB charging port for your phone, and since this has a rated battery of about 40 hours, it's going to outlast your phone and it's nice to be able to charge your phone. It also has an Aux cable, which in my opinion is a must. Bluetooth is great, and convenient, but I've always run into situations where the Bluetooth connection just wouldn't work. The craftsmanship. This baby has some heft to it, which I appreciate it. It is durable and you can just tell the persons who designed, engineered, and manufactured this speaker love what they do and paid close attention to the details.
Some little quirks...
No screen. This is personal preference and not a huge deal, but there's no screen or more specifically, no volume meter. The buttons are also clicky; and loud. This sounds like a dumb thing to say, but they just have a loud unsatisfying click. The buttons don't feel flimsy, they just sound it.
All in all...
If you are looking for an elegant, small form factor, Bluetooth speaker with great sound, this is the one. If sound matters to you and is at the top of your must have list, then I don't think you can do much better than this speaker.

Bright Picture, Portable
on October 3, 2017
Posted by: callmeageeth
from Louisville, KY
I've never owned a projector in my home. I've used them for work, but they've always been less than stellar (bright, but low resolution). I was always afraid that you had to spend $1000s to get a quality projector to replace today's HDTVs. Not only that, I don't have a dark basement, so I was concerned about watching a projector in the middle of the day. This projector handles both issues with ease. BUT it's not without its caveats.
Picture quality.
Is great, honestly. It's full 1080p with fluid motion and virtually no blur. I've watched Blu-Rays, played PlayStation and football. While the clarity doesn't compare to my 65 inch 4K TV, (and honestly it shouldn't) I much preferred the 100 inch size of the projector screen. it changed the way I enjoy my content on TV. The projector has 3100 lumens, and all you need to know is that's extremely bright, and it's bright enough to watch in your main living room or in other words, a room that isn't a dark basement. I will say that if you have lots of natural lighting, you might get a little washout with the projector, but I could say our bright room affected my 4K TV (at least a little bit) and I rarely watch TV during high noon so it didn't matter much.
The caveat about picture quality, is a good screen. I projected my picture onto a white wall. I've heard, and I assume, but don't know, that projecting onto a proper screen will make the picture look even better. I found the white wall to be suitable, but there were times (like when a of black is on the screen) that I wished I had a projector screen. But again, it's a trade off for me, I'm willing to sacrifice for a larger screen experience.
Sound
It has a built in speaker, but let's be honest, you absolutely must have a speaker system. That's another caveat. While I always rely on external speakers, some people don't and rely on their TV speakers. You obviously "can" use the projector's speaker, but I don't recommend it. I'm assuming if you're reading this review, you have your own sound system, but if you don't have one, that's something else to keep in mind when purchasing a projector.
Portability.
One of the reasons' I bought this projector, was to use at tailgates and for outdoor movie showings. While I've struggled to find a suitable screen replacement at a tailgate (due to limitations of parking, size, etc.) I like that I can take this bad boy anywhere, it's much more convenient than packing a large TV. It's not something I do, or plan to do, all the time, but it's a nice feature.
I can't speak on the longevity of the bulb, I haven't had it long enough, but from the materials I've read, it should last a long time which is a plus.
Setup
This is a pretty basic and easy to set up projector. The biggest constraints are your placement. What I mean, it's easy to plug in cables into the ports, but depending on where your AV components are relative to where your projector is, will determine how complex it is to set everything up. Also, you have to factor that in when using a screen. Like I said, I use a wall, so I didn't have to get a perfect placement of the projector, I have some wiggle room. And I ran cables in my crawl space from my AV equipment to my projector stand (one day I'll attach it to the ceiling). It has a variety of ports, but the only ones that matter are HDMI and the USB (to power my Chromecast). A huge knock in my opinion, is lack of optical audio. I use that in conjunction with my HDMI. It's not a deal breaker, and it only affected my TV (when trying to get surround sound with HD antenna) but I already ran the cable for my TV and don't like it dangling.
You are limited in number of HDMI ports (2). So if you plug all of your HDMI cables into your TV (if you have PS4, cable box, Xbox, Chromecast, Apple TV) you will need some sort of receiver. This problem will be taken care of if you take my advice and get a speaker system with receiver, but something to keep in mind.
It has Wi-Fi, but I don't use it. It's supposedly so you can stream things from a laptop to the projector, but that's unnecessary for me. I run one HDMI cable from the projector to my receiver and plug everything into my receiver.
At the end of the day, this is a great little projector. I'm sure you can get a better picture quality in higher end models, and I know you can get a better picture quality with traditional HDTVs, but you just can't beat the size of a projector. And for most people, myself included, the picture quality of 1080p with no motion blur is more than adequate. Plus it's portable, so you can be the guy or gal to take a projector wherever for on the spot drive-in theater like experiences.

Easy to Use But Is Unnecessary
on September 27, 2017
Posted by: callmeageeth
from Louisville, KY
I have two cats and a 2 year old, so messes are frequently made on our couches (not leather couches). So I liked the idea of having a small device to help lift up stains (vs. using spray can and a rag). But at the end of the day it's no better or no worse than a normal can of Resolve Carpet cleaner and a rag. Sure it's more fun, you use what is basically a hand held vacuum to squirt cleaning solution and then vacuum it up, but after that it's more hassle. You have to empty the dirty water bin before storing (to prevent leaks) and you have to make sure it's charged. What was misleading to me was the brushes. I thought the scrubbing brushes were motorized, but they're not. You squirt the solution and then move the entire device back and forth to agitate the stain and then you vacuum the water.
The device does work, there's no doubt. It took care of melted chocolate, pizza sauce, and diet soda without issues. But it's expensive, and you have to purchase cleaning solution (the device goes through it quickly) which adds up. And you need to keep it recharged, all for the couple of times a month (or so) that you need to clean up a stain or spot on your upholstery or carpet. I just don't see what it provides that Resolve and a rag doesn't. It's big downside (to me) is that it's limited to spot cleaning, but that's what it's designed for.
If you have the money and like gadgets, this is a great product that does its job. Otherwise, save your money and stick to old fashioned methods of spot cleaning your upholstery and carpet.

Fantastic Wireless Keyboard
on September 25, 2017
Posted by: callmeageeth
from Louisville, KY
I am an attorney and use keyboards every single day. They are an important tool and having the best quality it is important to me. I recently purchased a mechanical keyboard (for work) to replace an aging Microsoft Wireless keyboard. I fell in love with the mechanical "clickiness" of that keyboard. (important to note that it has two USB 3.0 ports built into the keyboard).
But I still needed a keyboard for my home office where I not only work but also play. I like to edit movies and photos as a hobby. When looking for a keyboard, materials and design are important to me. Generally, for keyboards, I don't pay attention to features. I just want something that's accurate, responsive and easy to use. SO when I saw the Craft keyboard I was intrigued about the dial. I liked the idea of being able to use it's dial to help work flow (even though it is by no means critical or essential).
First, design and materials. This is a sharp, modern looking keyboard. It is a nice heft to it; I actually find it surprisingly heavy, but that's by no means a bad thing, that's a great thing! The heft of the keyboard along with the rubber feet keep it in place. It literally doesn't even budge while in use. The keyboard has a nice rubbery plastic feel to it that gives it a grip. I know rubbery and plastic are synonymous with "cheap" but it's not. The rubbery feel gives it a nice grip. There's also a little imprint in each key that I surprisingly like.
I'm still a partial look at your keyboard typer (i.e. don't type by touch alone) but I appreciate the shape of the keys. They aren’t completely flat, but have a nice “caved in” shape to them. And unlike my mechanical keyboard, which gives off a satisfying click (sometimes to the annoyance of my co-workers) this Craft keyboard is virtually silent. So while there’s no satisfying audible click, there’s still a satisfying key depression. In other words, the keyboard has a satisfying feel to it.
I must say I love the shortcut keys and key placement. The icons are smart (as in simple, but you know what they mean). I also appreciate shortcuts for screenshots and calculator. Small things that are no deal breaker, but do enhance your experience and productivity. The backlighting is nice too. The lights are evenly distributed and show up when you place your hands near the keyboard (how does that even work?!).
And on to the main event, or at least the reason why I think you’ve read this far into my review. The Craft dial. In order to use the dial (well, as a shortcut, by default, in my Windows laptop it controlled the volume) you have to download Logitech’s Option app, and then connect your keyboard to it. From there you download some extensions. So far, the only extensions are the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite programs. I mentioned earlier that I dabble in video editing. Well, I use Adobe Premiere Element, not the full on Premiere Pro, so sadly, I am unable to use the dial while video editing. I did give it a spin in Word and while it’s cool to make quick adjustments on the fly, it’s not much use to me. I don’t change themes, or font size routinely between documents (the documents we work on are standardized) so the dial doesn’t offer much benefits to me (right now).
I’m hopeful that the list of programs will expand in the future. There’s definitely some potential there! And to be honest, I am okay with using the dial as volume rocker as I am often adjusting the volume in my office space. It’s much easier to grab a knob on the keyboard an turn it, versus either hitting FN and then another button or using your mouse to adjust the volume in the system tray. And another great feature is one in Chrome. If you usually have a lot of tabs open, you can spin the knob to open your various tabs. It’s quick, responsive and fluid, and I actually prefer it versus using the mouse to find the tab you want to open.
All in all, if you care about your typing experience (not everyone does) then this keyboard should be high on your list. The knob is limited in use right now, but I think it’s more than a gimmick. Once Logitech fleshes out some more uses for it, it will be more than worth it. I’ve had zero connection issues and it connects to my laptop (via Bluetooth) almost immediately. I can’t say how long the battery lasts, but I’ve owned it and used it daily for nearly a week and have yet to have to charge it.

Best Bluetooth Headphones on the Market
on September 25, 2017
Posted by: callmeageeth
from Louisville, KY
Bose has done it again.
I haven't upgraded my Bose Headphones since buying QC 15s a long time ago. I've replaced those ear cups a number of times, but they've always been my go to. You cannot beat the noise cancellation. The battery life was great. But the one thing always holding it back was the wire. Call it a first world problem (it most certainly is) but I got tired of a dangling headphone cable when trying to navigate through an airport. Or having a cable dangle by your side. I passed on the QC35, honestly, because of price and the fact that my QC 15s still worked great. But with the addition of Google Assistant (I'm a heavy Android user and user of Google services) I was intrigued and finally decided to make the leap.
First, sound performance. The quality is great, whether the highs notes of classical music, or the bass from your favorite pop songs, the QC35 like virtually all Bose products deliver great, balanced sound.
Second, design (weight and dimensions). The headphones are a nice black color, which in my opinion looks professional. They are extremely light, but I do question their durability (my same minor complaint of the QC15). It goes without saying you must be careful with these headphones, you take care of them and they'll take care of you. If you bend them too quickly, drop them, put them in your bag without the case (more on that in a bit) they will break. It's a fact of life. The buttons are minimalist (Google Assistant on left ear cup, volume controls on the right) which make it easy to use. Overall, I'll take less durability (i.e. they can't take a beating) to keep down the weight.
Third, comfort. These are so light, they feel like you aren't wearing them. The ear cups have a nice soft leathery feel to them and the headband is adequately padded. I also like that the ear cups go around my ears completely. What I mean is, I had Beats Studio Wireless headphones and the ear cups never fully surrounded my ear, which led to discomfort while wearing for long periods. But one caveat, with no airflow, my ears do sometimes get hot and I have to take them off for a few minutes, but to me, I deal with that for ANY ear cup headphone.
Fourth, Battery life. These bad boys do last about 20 hours which is way more than you can ask for in any Bluetooth speaker. And using the 3.5 mm cord to connect to your device with a wire, can double the battery life effectively matching the QC15.
Five, miscellaneous (namely Google Assistant). If you have an Android and use Google Assistant for anything, these are great to have. If you get a text, the headphones tell you, you then hit the Google Assistant button once and then your text is read to you. You want to send a text? Hold the Google Assistant button down while you say who you wanna send a message to. Want to know the weather? Same thing, hold down the button and ask for the weather. It's a convenience worth having if you listen to your headphones frequently. It's just so easy to use.
Lastly, in re miscellaneous items, I must add that I am in favor of all companies that provide you with a case when not using their expensive headphones. I think most big companies do it and Bose is no exception. Two things of note about the case. 1) It's a little squishy, meaning it could have been a little more "hardshell" for my tastes; and 2) it has a little picture on a flap inside the case showing you how to fold your headphones when putting them in the case. Why am I mentioning that? Because it is a constant reminder of how to store your headphones without "squishing" the ear cups. When you fold up the Beats StudioWireless headphones, you necessarily push the bottoms of the two ear cups together which can cause a deformity in the shape of the ear padding. Minor point, but it's the little touches like that I, personally, appreciate.
At the end of the day, these are expensive headphones, so they are only for select people. Having said that, if you are looking to spend some money on quality headphones that you are willing to take care of, these Bose QC35 II with Google Assistant (can't comment on iPhone users) is a tough one to beat. I absolutely recommend these for anyone looking for noise canceling headphones and doubly recommend it for those who regularly utilize the Google Assistant and are in the market for noise cancelling headphones.

Simple but efficient

This is the go to Keurig in my opinion. No frills and no gimmicks. If you've never used one, it's simple, you fill the side carafe up with water (yes you can remove if from the maker for ease of fill-up in your sink) and then you open the lid in the front, drop your pod off, and hit the button that correlates with the size of your coffee cup. Voila.
The big drawback, which is obvious, is the need to have these pods on hand. If you drink a lot of coffee, this may not be economical. But if you just want one cup in the morning to get you going (and don't have a huge family full of mooches) the cost is better than buying your own cup at a coffee shop.
I do like the bold cup option, not sure how it works, or if it even does (and isn't merely a marketing gimmick) but to me it does give a richer flavor to traditional coffee (for the sweet coffees like Cinnamon roll flavors, I couldn't tell the difference).
Anyways, if you're in the market for a Keurig and you don't need to make pots of coffee (i.e. don't have a lot of people in the house/apt) then this is a great choice. The coffee pod selection is great, there has to be something out there that can tickle your fancy.
Side note, Best Buy regularly has pods on sale on their Deal of the Day which is always a great time to stock up.

Meet the unrivaled, everyday noise canceling headphone for people who want to keep it simple. Hesh ANC is engineered with just the right amount of added features to make your life a little easier without a lot of additional technology that you might not need.

Do these headphones have a mute button and how long is the battery life if using for office calls?

I don't think there's a dedicated "mute" button on the headphones, I didn't find one, so it will need to be controlled from your phone. I never measured battery life for calls, but I've used them for calls (they sound good) and listened to hours of music over the course of a couple of weeks (of and on, not every single day) before having to recharge them. I feel pretty confident you could go a full day of calls without the battery dying.

Easily shoot, print, edit, and stick photos, with the IVY CLIQ+2. Capture every moment with the Canon IVY CLIQ+2 — an easy to use Instant Camera Printer that is portable so you can take it with you! Instantly shoot and print 2”x3” photos and place them almost anywhere thanks to a peel and stick backing. You can take the perfect selfies with a Large Selfie Mirror and 8 LED Ring Light. Plus, you can connect your mobile device to the Canon Mini Print App1 to print photos from your camera roll and add filters, effects, emojis and more!

Does it automatically print a picture you take? Or can you chose which photos to print and which to just keep in your usb memory?

Yes it prints immediately. I believe, but am not 100% certain, that if you have a microSD card inserted, it will save a digital copy of the picture you take (and print)

The Ninja brand has been a leader in kitchen appliances delivering innovative products for decades. Now introducing the Ninja Professional Plus Food Processor—make food prep easier with its power, intelligence, and versatility. The 1000-peak-watt motor and preset programs chop veggies, shred cheese, and make smooth sauces and cookie dough from scratch—all at the touch of a button.

is there a storage container for the blades with this one or separate?

Unfortunately, there's no storage for the attachments which is a bummer. Obviously there's space in the container for one (where I keep the sharp chopping attachment) and I keep the shredding/slicing disc in a cardboard container that it came with for the packaging.

Use the Google Smart Light Starter Kit to control the lights using just your voice. Set up in a snap: just plug in Google Home Mini, screw in the GE C-Life smart light bulb, and download the Google Home app to get started. Then just say "Hey Google" to dim, brighten, turn on and turn off the lights."

Can I use this to turn off my lights while I am away from home? Also, do I get the starter kit and then multiple bulbs or do I need to get a box thing for each room? Thanks so much

Yes, you can turn off your lights from your phone (via Google Home app) when you are away from home. You don't need this starter kit per room unless you want multiple Google Home minis throughout your home (I have several) but obviously the number of smart bulbs (should you want them) will outweigh the number of Google Home minis you need. In other words, one Google Home mini could control all of the smart bulbs you have in your house. You would just need to be within earshot of that one mini when asking Google to turn lights on and off. For me, I keep one Google Home on each floor of my house

Would this work for a Mac Mini? 2014 and newer??? Or a an older MacBook Pro 13 inch. 2011 version I believe.

Yes, I put it in my 2012 Macbook Pro without any issues. Substantially improved the performance

Does this ssd works on MacBook Pro

Yes, I installed it in my 2012 Macbook Pro. I would find a SATA cable, plug it in to your Macbook and clone your existing HDD, use a small Phllips Head screw driver to remove the bottom plate, unscrew the mounting bracket, insert the pegs from your old HDD to the new SSD using a torx screw (very small) and put the plate back on and that's it. Very simple and painless process

Get the perfect angle for your Arlo security cameras. Easily adjustable mount provides 360 degree swivel and 90 degrees of tilt for the Arlo cameras. It's easy to Quick Start and adjust the camera position for indoor, outdoor, wall and ceiling mounting.

Does it rotate or move?

The base itself doesn't rotate as it is secured to wherever you put it, but the end of the mount (where the screw thread is located) swivels 360 degrees adding a lot flexibility to your placement options.

This Logitech Harmony 915-000194 smart control lets you use your compatible Apple® iPhone®, iPod® touch or iPad® or Android device to control up to 8 components for simple, multifunction use.

Does this remote work with Xbox one?

Yes, sort of, depending on what your asking. The remote itself doesn't control anything but commands to the Logitech Home. But yes, the Logitech Home does turn on my Xbox One S. I've controlled a Blu-Ray before but must admit I haven't tried to navigate the console menu.
